20.01.2022 13 keen shooter arrived at the 700 metre mound on the Goondiwindi Rifle Range last Sunday morning. The northeasterly to northwesterly breeze made conditions difficult, there were times that were consistent, but not for long. Possibles in the First range went to Rob and Gary. Jack was the only one to score one in the second range. Every one drop points on Sunday some a few and some a lot. Rob Pellagreen, came out on top to take out the Kel's Pest Control Trophy. 16.01.2022 The Murray Reeves sponsored Trophy was shot at 300meters on Sunday morning in tricky conditions with the winds changing from side to side with mirage reading being difficult to say the least. 15.01.2022 Nine shooters turned out to shoot the 300meter Range on Sunday morning with winds coming from the south west with varying strengths and slight directional changes but on the small target it’s easy to put one out. In the first Range six members got a possible making the second Range a bit interesting. Lowell, Pud and Jamie ended up with double possibles and roosters for their efforts. A shoot off was held to decide the winner after a short intermission to put up another targe...t and swap out centres as they had a distinct hole where the six ring used to be. At the end of the day Jamie came out on top with some fine shot making. Other members had a few busts giving the handicapper some calculations to do ( he might have to take his socks off to work a few of them out) and thanks to the visitors who came out to see how it all works. 13.01.2022 Hot conditions on Sunday morning at the 600 meter mound was the task for the Ben and Ali Picton Trophy, mirage was strong and true with some wind changes that kept you guessing at times. We had a couple of young fellas come out for a try at scope shooting and they enjoyed their experience. In the wash up Lowell finished on top bagging himself a Rooster for the day, all he has ...to do now is let Ben know what twist rate he wants. 11.01.2022 The rain held us up on Sunday morning for an hour or so at the 800meter mound but once we got going so did the wind. 07.01.2022 Today, September 10th 2020, is ‘R U OK? Day’. This year so far has been one hell of a roller coaster ride! Starting the year off with some of the worst bush fires, the continuing drought and now the world is dealing with Covid-19 and some people and or families you know are also going through difficult times due to many reasons unknown to you. Families have been separated due to the border closures, isolated due to health or other reasons. Some people just might not be copin...g with how the world is right now. Today been R U OK? day, might be the perfect day to make the time to pick up the phone or drop in and check in on friends and family and ask them R U OK?, is there anything we can do? Just remember to check in on family and friends at any time, you never know, you just might make a change in that persons day or life by simply checking in on them.
