19.01.2022 OPEN BOYS RUGBY LEAGUE - CAIRNS STATE HIGH SCHOOL On Wednesday 9th September, our Open Boys continued the strong season they are having with an impressive 50-0 win over Cairns State High School. This game was of particular importance as a tribute game to the late Carson Smith, an ex-student of Gordonvale State High School. Carson was a member of the successful 2015 Open Boys squad. Our condolences and heartfelt thoughts go out to the Smith family. In memory of Carson, both si...des wore black arm bands and observed a minutes silence. The game was played in fantastic spirit. There were many standout players during the match. Tyreece was strong through the middle, linking well with fullback Kieshon. Kyle had a great game at lock and Levi was strong on both attack and defence. Clay and Brock continue to contribute well each week with their gritty attitude and work rates.
