25.01.2022 Are you down dogging it for a good cause? Hit an undisclosed central Melbourne location for mid-week evening pop-up yoga. Low cost and high fibre, it's just $12 for 60 minutes with proceeds going to charity. Join the band for weekly location alerts and BYO mat. Go bananas. You'd be ape not to.... Chief Gorilla in the Midst
22.01.2022 The Chief Gorilla loves inversions. Tonight's class incorporated Viparita Karani (legs up the wall) and Salamba Sarvangasana (supported body), both great calming and cooling postures. The first safely stretches the hamstrings while the second stimulates the thyroid and parathyroid glands in your neck. Not great if you're got high blood pressure though!
21.01.2022 This week I was asked what poses help reduce blood pressure and tight hamstrings. There is a level 1 pose that can help both: Viparita Karani (legs up the wall).

18.01.2022 Ready to reclaim the urban jungle one down dog at a time? During the chilly months we're taking the band indoors thanks to some generous corporate support. Spots are limited so beat your chest nice and loud if you're interested. RAUGHH
12.01.2022 Hmm, tasty and super nutritious - Eating for Enlightenment: The Atma Yoga Cook Book - based on Bhakti yoga
07.01.2022 Seriously? Admittedly I haven't seen the movie, but I suspect this goes right next to Eat, Pray, #$% Love. Why is the 'quiet revolution' to genderise yoga a good thing when it's at the expense of men, who shared it with everyone in the first place? http://aust.yogawoman.tv/the-film
04.01.2022 Today, we added another new pose to the series - a nice introduction to the world of back bends - Setu Bandha Sarvangasana or Bridge pose. The added benefit? Almost automatic lung expansion.
01.01.2022 And, of course, there is always Savasana or corpse pose to help lower blood pressure as well.
