03.01.2022 Liglig known as ‘Ligligkot’ is one of the historically important place of Modern Nepal.A place from where Shah dynasty started.Drabya Shah who established royal kingdom by defeating magars(Ghale)in running competition and Started ruling from 1616 BS. It is located at the height of 4790 feet from sea level in Palungtar Municipality. Before Drabya Shah to become a king anyone had to win the competition of race from Chepeghat(bottom of hill) to ligligkot(top of hill). Currently local people started to preserve the tradition by organising the race competition and give the title of king for 1 year period with some money(prize) in the day of Chaite Dashain.
