23.01.2022 Photo credit: Taryn Elliott. What foods do you LOVE I find it incredibly hard to pass up on good dumplings! I especially love a night out in Chatswood, eating my fill of dumplings (and more) at many of the amazing restaurants on offer.

23.01.2022 It's Spring, which means the birds are out and about...especially Magpies. Learn more about these magnificent birds (and how to avoid being swooped) here: https://www.facebook.com/themagpiewhisperer/posts/1837872586306885/

21.01.2022 Like many RFS volunteers, I also work full time...and work has been hectic with a capital H of late! So today is a very lazy Saturday of pj’s, Netflix and chill! Self care (recharging) is hugely important. Enter my hot cup of Australian tea, and this fascinating caramel waffle biscuit...they say warm it up over your cuppa so ok, sure!... What are you doing to look after yourself?

20.01.2022 I LOVE dumplings! In particular pan fried pork dumplings, and xiao long bao. I've watched them make dumplings in the windows of the restaurants and thought 'How hard can it be?!'. The answer is...HARD ... Those fiddly little things are, well, fiddly! But DAMN they taste good! I fully rate this recipe: https://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-pork-dumplings-cookin

20.01.2022 I love music and generally have it on while I cook. My mother has heavily influenced my taste in music and as such, I love a lot of the classic bands like Fleetwood Mac. But the sometimes I like to mix it up a little and shake it around the kitchen to some old school RnB (think Ginuwine ) Who do you shake it round the kitchen to?

17.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS Due to note being allowed to come around last year for Christmas. We have teamed up with the Easter Bunny to come and make a journey around Erari...ng, Dora Creek and Cooranbong ( Curran’s Road ) to hand out lollies to all children on the 20th February 2021. Covid-19 safe steps will be in place to keep all residents, the Easter Bunny and his helpers safe. The Easter Bunny will start his journey on the 20th at 08:00am beginning in Eraring and making his way towards Dora Creek on the eastern side of the train tracks ( Dora Street). He will then make his way west of the train tracks completing the northern side of the Creek (Newport Road, Curran’s) After a quick pit stop for lunch the Easter Bunny will then complete the southern side of the creek (bakers, stingaree Point Drive). Keep an ear out for our sirens. Unfortunately we do not have exact times of when/where the Easter Bunny will be. We will keep everyone posted on the day via our Facebook page.
