25.01.2022 Last night the GTC committee farewelled life member Lynne Buchanan who is retiring to the South Coast to be closer with her family and grand children. Lynne has been a dedicated and tireless contributor to our club with some 35+ years volunteering in several fields including 25+ years with the main body and ladies mid-week committee's, running Saturday junior comps, officiating at GTC tournaments, running the kitchen, and collecting our plastic bottles for cash which goes towards our junior fund. Lynne will be sorely missed. On behalf of the committee, our club members and tennis friends, we wish you the very best for your new move and the next chapter in your retirement.

24.01.2022 Gosford Tennis Club Notice of Annual General Meeting 7:00pm on the 26th of October 2020. The Committee would like to announce that the Gosford District Tennis Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on the 26th of October 2020 at 7:00pm at 10/13 Racecourse Rd Gosford.... RSVP To manage our COVID-19 obligations, this year we ask that any person intending to attend the AGM provide us with a minimum of 7 days’ notice. In the event that the number of attendees exceeds the permitted amount, we will make arrangements for attendance via zoom/AVL. Proposed business The business to be transacted includes: Confirm minutes of previous AGM. Report on activities of the Club. Election of committee members. Consideration of audited financial reports Life Membership nominations. Other business At this time, no other business is proposed to be transacted. If a member would like to bring any other business before the AGM, please send a notice in writing with details of that business at least 7 days prior to the AGM. If that business requires a special resolution, then notice is required 21 days prior to the AGM. Election of committee members Nominations for committee positions must be made in writing at least 7 days prior to the AGM. We encourage that nominations be sent to [email protected].

22.01.2022 Gosford Tennis Club 77th Club Championships entries close Wednesday 18th November! Event Schedule as follows; Friday 20th Open Men’s Doubles qualifying/round 16 starts from 6pm and is only 1 round. Saturday 21st Open Men’s Doubles QF and SF. All Junior singles events. Starting times to be advised.... Sunday 22nd - Open Men’s Doubles Final. Open Women’s Friday 27th Open Men’s singles qualifying 1 round starts from 5pm and to be held on courts 8 & 9 and on lower complex to 7.30pm. Saturday 28th Open Men’s singles Round 16, & QF. Open Ladies Singles preliminary rounds plus QF (if applicable). Div.2 & Div.3 Singles events. Sunday 29th Open Men’s & Ladies singles SF & Final. Possible Div.2 & 3. Singles if numbers increase. Open Mixed Doubles all matches including final. All junior doubles events to be held in round robin format. Div. 2 & 3 doubles. Starting times to be advised. 16.01.2022 We are proud to announce that we will be hosting the New South Wales UTR Junior state championships in December! The event will run over a two-week period, with the 12/U and the 16/U starting 6th of December and the 14/U and 18/U playing the following week with both singles and doubles being played. This event will bring an array of players from all over the state to the club and holds great opportunity for local players to experience playing at a state level. The dates for... the event are as follows: 12/u and 16/u 6th-11th of December 14/U and 18/U 14th -19th of December As all matches are played on hard-courts, court hire may be limited at this time.

02.01.2022 Hello all! Important notice for all members and supporters of our club incoming. As a result of the horrendous storm that hit the central coast mid-way through last year Gosford's courts 10 & 11 were unfortunately rendered unsafe and unusable. This was very disappointing for the business as those two courts generated a lot of income for the centre. But, we now have plans to rebuild, a make up for the funds we lost. So now, we've began fundraising efforts as a means to regai...n the financial deficits that mother nature regretfully brought upon us. And hence, we've started the following GoFundMe in order to generate some extra revenue for the centre's projects. It is worth noting that Gosford Tennis Club is a non for profit organisation with a dedicated staff and volunteer team so rest assured that any donations you should wish to make (and all are generous at that) will be going to the amelioration and improvement of the club that we all hold so dear.
