14.01.2022 Today Saturday 13-Jun we had a total of 63 runners, walkers and joggers completing laps of our stunning lake (55 males and 8 females). It was great to see ever...yone embracing today’s theme of Lego, and getting into full costume. Great effort! There were no milestones celebrated today, however we did have an awesome 63 first timers. Unfortunately there was a technical error and none of the times were officially recorded, but we all enjoyed getting out and about. Thankyou to our wonderful volunteers, who gave up their morning so that others could participate. Just a heads up that we did have some giant ducks trying to eat participants this morning, so it is extra important to make sure that children are always with an adult. See more

12.01.2022 New Volunteer Role With the increase in numbers we have a new volunteer role to help keep the finish area clear and moving-a Funnel Manager The Funnel Manager is responsible for the whole finish area and is primarily focused on ensuring the participants move smoothly and swiftly through the finish funnel to collect their finish token.... This person performing this role will also be required to be the marshal at the far end of the dam wall at the start of parkrun. As such this volunteer must be of a suitable age to perform this task and must be able to get from the far dam wall location back to the finish area in time before the first finisher. With so many roles to choose from there is something for everyone!!! For the first time in nearly 5 years there will be no parkrun anywhere in the world tomorrow.... As we are trying to help with social distancing by reducing the amount of traffic around our regular course, we would love to see a photo of a new route you find somewhere close to you, or a different area altogether! We know realistically we won’t be getting back to parkrun for a little while but the temperature is starting to get warmer and the days sunnier, some say that’s wonderful news although I do prefer the cold.
