19.01.2022 Saturday saw our State League teams playing Canning City in the first games of this strange 2020 season. The day was in memory and celebration of the lives of two special men. We remembered and celebrated the life of Min Duncan, a club player, team coach and a friend to many. His family, friends and the players acknowledged each game with a minute applause and respect shown to a Gosnells club man. The day was also in memory of Frank Longstaff who served as a very successful coach for both clubs. The Longstaff family were at the club to see the 'Frank Longstaff Trophy' contested between the teams. The celebrations continued as Canning City retained the trophy for this year and we congratulate them and thank them for being part of the memories and celebrations of the day.

14.01.2022 Lynwood SHS are one of only four Soccer Specialist schools in Perth and the only one in the South East Corridor. We have highly qualified coaches/teachers with over 1000s of hours of coaching experience between them at all levels of the game. In the past 10 years the Academy has gone from strength to strength, not only on the field but also in terms of the professionalism and attitude of the students. That is down to top class students that have come from your primary schoo...ls that have been able to perform and in many cases exceed the high expectations we set in the Academy. We are holding our final trial for our Academy on the 1st September at Hossack Reserve, Parkwood for both boys and girls. Please could you pass these details on to your year 6 students especially if they have a little or a lot of soccer talent and a strong sporting ethic.
