12.01.2022 Cold winter's day on this particular day, so not quite as many entertainers as usual, but we had great fun and got to sing around 10 songs each, so those of us who performed were pretty happy about that. A few of our regular performers were away sick, but soldier on we did, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

09.01.2022 Sadly, we have lost a very talented member of our club. Trevor Tombling, who passed away on Saturday 23rd March, 2019..... Your struggle is over Trev - bless you. Trevor was a multi-instrumentalist, excelling as a Classical Pianist, and played mostly Bass Guitar at our gigs. Trevor also had a beautiful, mellow, singing voice, and sang beautiful renditions of many great artists hits.... We have missed you Trevor over these last few months since we haven't had you with us, and will continue to miss you, and your talents, knowledge and experience. May you rest in pain-free peace eternally. Funeral Details: Wollongong Crematorium, Berkely Rd, Unanderra. Next to Temple. 11am Friday 29th March.

07.01.2022 Have had so much on my plate that haven't had any spare time to keep everyone up to date with what's happening . We are back for 2019 at the Goulburn Workers Club, in McKell Place, Goulburn, and held our first social gig on Sunday 3rd Feb. Was a fun day for those of us who were there. Four new members signed up - Rusti, from Boorowa, Marjory from Goulburn , and Keith and Felicity from Yass. What a bonus they ended up being. Keith is not only a good guitarist, wh...o played some fab Shadows solos for us, but he is a Sound technician whiz !!!! What great timing. We have just basically lost our wonderful sound techie of many years (Mick Davies), and out of the blue, Keith is sent to us (or I like to think of it that way ! . haha. I'm posting some photos from Sunday's gig, and I will catch up on some of our pics from the end of last year's gigs, and maybe even pop in a couple of video clips ..... I'll see how I go. See more

06.01.2022 Newest member to our club , Keith Vonhoff played for us some great old Shadows solos, and this pleaser - Guitar Boogie Shuffle. Woo Hoo, made me feel like I was back in the late 50's again ..... loved it ! Well done Keith , and welcome also to Keith's lovely wife Felicity
05.01.2022 SUNDAY 0CTOBER 22nd WORKER’S CLUB McKELL SPORTS BAR & LOUNGE For our first test, not many of us could make it at short notice. Our performers were - Mick Rivas,(vocals & gutar, Les Horvath (drummer), Mal Davies (bass guitar), Rebeka Wolfe (vocals/guitar), Jim McCurley (balladeer), Keith Gibson (vocals/guitar), Mike Watson and Loz Westley (vocals) , Bill Taylor (vocals/guitar), Norm McMillan (vocals/guitar), Chantelle Eltze (vocals/guitar), Dale Heywood and Susan V...idamour (both vocals & guitar) We were lucky enough to do two full sets each. After a slow start, we all had a really fun time. The sound is great. Everyone able to be heard clearly and nice tone. All the musicians and Mike Davies our sound techie are very much in favour of this set up. We all had lots of laughs, and so pleased that Dale and Susan could make it from the South Coast. They light up the stage with their fun attitudes. Both Dale and Mike Watson were doing their Donald Duck impersonations also for us. We have a proper stage in the McKell Sporting Bar and Lounge, a full size dance floor, good seating layout, and a rear door straight off the street onto the stage area for bringing in sound gear, and amps etc. With such a lovely big dance floor, it would be so good to get onto any dance clubs who might like to get right into some Sunday dancing. Our Graham and Lois and another couple sure made use of the proper dance floor. If you know of any people who are keen dancers, whether Ballroom or Line Dancing, please mention to them. It would be a great opportunity for them to have some fun. We were to start on the first Sunday of each month thereafter (except January) , but unfortunately the first Sunday in November, clashed with a big Boxing Match which the club has rights to televise on the big screen which comes down in front of the stage. These major sporting events cost the club mega bucks to show, so we had to cancel November show. It makes it hard to change to another weekend at short notice with so many of our musicians living down the coast or in ACT.

01.01.2022 Goulburn Country Music songbird Chantelle, doing a solo gig at Southern Railway Hotel in Goulburn. By the time she was to finish, the pub was full and the crowd wouldn't let her go, so she ended up doing a five and a half hour gig. It was her first time there.
