15.01.2022 RACE OPPORTUNITY Every year Randwick Botany Cycling Club runs a 1 lap individual TT event for our own Club Championships program. We don't usually open this up to all Clubs. However last year we did for the first time and it was a really successful event. Therefore we would like to invite all clubs to participate in the event as we felt that it might be a unique event for you to add into your own Club Champs programs. The event is being held on Saturday, 24 October 2020 (...instead of our usual Saturday afternoon criterium race). The first rider will set off at 2pm with either 30 second or 1 minute gaps between riders. Depending on entry numbers we plan on giving all riders two opportunities to post their best time. The first within the first hour between 2-3pm and the second attempt between 3-4pm. Once entries have closed online we will create a start list which will list individual start times, so riders will be aware of this before they come to Heffron Park on the Saturday. The rules are road bikes only . Deep section wheels and TT helmets are allowed. No TT bikes, clip-on aero bars or disc wheels are allowed. The fastest male and fastest female overall will be awarded the title and have their names listed on a perpetual trophy. There will also be prizes for the fastest male and female in each division. Juniors under 17 are welcome for a nominal $5 entry fee. All other riders will need to pay the $10 entry fee. Riders must hold a CA race licence. A promo flyer is attached! Entries and full details are here: https://www.buncheur.com/randwick-botany-cc-randwick-cc-1-l It would be great if you could let your members know of the event!

14.01.2022 A mercifully dry day with glimpses of blue sky allowed NSW (and some of ACT's) best riders to shine through, producing thrilling, hard-fought racing all the way... to the line. On a day that also included the Acciona Gunning Wind Farm Great Divide graded scratch races, the state's best road cyclists went toe-to-toe on the Cullerin Range in Gunning. Enormous thanks goes to Goulburn Cycle Club and all volunteers for putting on an amazing weekend. Relive the day through these images captured by Cycling NSW photographer Ryan Miu.

When the downpour eventually came, the Elite & U23 Men soldiered on through a memorable day in Gunning. Photos by Ryan Miu

01.01.2022 It is with regret that we announce that Wayne Bensley is stepping down as Handicapper, Social Media Coordinator and Club Captain from next Wednesday 18th November. These are all majority thankless jobs but particularly when it comes to handicapping, it's not a science and has more than its fair share of critics. These critics however regularly fall silent when the job is up for grabs. From myself and the rest of the executive, I would like to thank Wayne for the countless hou...rs he has dedicated to our club. This time is greatly appreciated and these efforts will be surely missed. Please bear with us while we try to fill these roles. If anyone has any interest in any of these roles please contact me directly. Regards Adam.
