15.01.2022 Early Childhood Educators Day recognises and celebrates the work of Australias educators in early learning services for their wonderful contribution to the wellbeing and healthy development of the young children in their care. This year Early Childhood Educators Day will take place on Wednesday 2nd September. This day is a chance to say thank you to Australias early childhood educators. Gowrie Training & Consultancy says a sincere thank you to our colleagues for the commitment they make to children and families (and each other) each and every day.
15.01.2022 Gowrie Training & Consultancy recently completed a project in the greater Launceston area for managers, team leaders and educators working in OSHC. The project incorporated a combination of workshops and coaching sessions that delved into areas including: developmental stages of school age children; the importance of educator’s interactions with children; environments that promote play, wellbeing and learning; strategies for supporting children with big emotions; providing ex...periences with elements of challenge and risk; and developing engaging programs for school age children. Educators engaged in a cycle of experiential learning where they explored, experienced, connected, created, shared and reflected on practices as a group, as teams and as individuals. ‘It has been a pleasure working with you all and I have loved seeing the positive changes taking place over the duration of the project’. When the children added water to the bucket they noticed it had become heavier and dropped to the ground faster, exploring scientific concepts in their p...lay! If you would like to explore loose parts within your setting, we can provide a range of exciting and engaging loose parts to enhance children’s play, whilst our consultant can talk through the process with educators/teachers in real time.
