25.01.2022 A few weeks prior to a wedding I always go around the area of the reception and find a spot nearby to snap some special photos somewhere quiet. This special spot I found by accident two weeks before the wedding... I was driving around trying to find spots and stopped by the road to take a phone call. There it was right in front of me was a beautiful hidden bike path in the bushes beside the road! I stepped out and took a few snaps to check the light with my phone and I knew this would be perfect for my couple getting hitched very soon. While everyone was scrambling to re book church dates, theirs stood by one of the best weekends of the dry. I myself got married the same weekend in 2017 (the long weekend). It’s beautiful at the end of July as most of these gorgeous flowers come out from natives and only bloom for a few weeks

13.01.2022 No space... no problem! Until the extension which will be my new studio gets built, I have had to make do with what I have (my current space is about 3 by 3 m, my new space is over 6.5 m by 4.5 m complete with an en-suite bathroom and storage !

Same placement, same pose, same hairstyle, same smile, yep- we are indeed carbon copies even today if I did not have these professional photos to look at, how would I even know ?

09.01.2022 Let’s talk... Christenings! Christenings are my favourite service to photograph. In the next few weeks I will be passing over 130 christenings since 2017! A christening for your child is a massive milestone - it only happens once and you have just one opportunity to capture it. As a professional who has years of experience in this area, especially Greek Orthodox Christenings - I have a very unique way of capturing a story-telling sequence of images to create a beautiful mem...ory for you and generations to come. My work brings out the beautiful (yet difficult) lighting inside, compliments the artworks inside the altar and especially - captures the essence of what is going on in the moments happening. When hiring a photographer, it is important to not rely on just a few images to determine if they are your photographer. It is good to request a full gallery, of at least two christenings to view. This will show how the photographer can photograph when things can change, the lighting inside and where they capture. The Greek Orthodox Church has a lot of competing light which can take dozens of christenings to get used to and... it changes completely in the morning christenings to afternoon, and all through the year it changes again due to the sun placement in the sky. It can get dark fast, and once those red windows come through ... we can no longer photograph as they are extremely bright red to the skin and decor inside. The photographer also needs to know the angles to take from, as these can change often e.g we may miss something if someone is in the way so we have a back up plan. They need to respect the rules, they also need to be aware of certain times when they may not be able to take or stand in certain spots. Not one christening, as they may seem that way, is the same. There are only just about 3 to 4 spots where you can document perfectly from and if someone even moves so slightly, you cannot photograph from that view and need to change... fast. As my christenings book out quickly, it is recommended to book in advance. You even get a studio voucher towards a session to bring your child back for a studio session!
