25.01.2022 Diabetes WA LIVE is a series of educational webinars covering current topics related to diabetes. This new, free series enables you to hear the latest diabetes information from Credentialled Diabetes Educators, regardless of where you live in WA, whether you have health services nearby, or if you are self-isolating. The following webinars are open to anyone in WA, regardless of whether you have diabetes or not. Choose any session below and book in! Instructions on how to join... will be emailed to you once you book in. The Glucose Story In this session, a Credentialled Diabetes Educators, will help you learn how the body works and what causes diabetes. 25.01.2022 Youth Focus, in collaboration with GP down south and the Peel Health Hub, hosted a M8D8 evening to help raise awareness of mental health and suicide amongst young men.

23.01.2022 Our mental health clinicians are located throughout the south west region. We have returned to face-to-face counselling, however, can also offer telehealth services for those who prefer. 21.01.2022 The Peel Support Program is a crime prevention measure aimed at diverting at risk youth from a potential criminal pathway. Police identify youth across the Mandurah district and the program provides intensive personal support specifically tailored around the needs and circumstances of the individual. Jobs South West will be delivering this program from the Peel Health Hub.

20.01.2022 Nidjalla Waangan Mia is our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing centre on Lakes Rd in Mandurah. The team there are the most dedicated and creative bunch. When lockdown came, they set about finding a way to reach out to the vulnerable and isolated who would normally come in to the centre for health checks. 19.01.2022 People are our biggest asset. Last year, we supported Greg to complete the Read Write Now program. He is now an advocate for the program and is reading every day with his daughter. He is a role model for many and one of the nicest blokes you could meet. We are so proud!

16.01.2022 One and a half weeks into the Challenge and our 6 teams have smashed through the first mini-challenge. Each team collectively reached 100, 000 steps doing a range of activities from gardening, walking, HIIT workouts and kayaking. That is an amazing effort. Not only are we looking after your health, but ours too. Share and cheer the teams on!

07.01.2022 We are at the YARN about Mental Heslth expo at Manjimup Senior High School listening to stories being shared about mental health. The talented @Tracy Barnett shared her story and music with over 200 year 9 students from the region. We were also treated to a visit from riders on the Hawaiian Ride for Youth. Choice, chance, change. Really pleased that Blackwood Youth Action have taken the initiative to provide this day of talks and workshops to youth in the area.
