18.01.2022 There is so. much. happening... right now at the studio! We are so excited to be welcoming a bunch of new students to our community this term (if you haven't booked a FREE trial yet, check it out on the link below!) plus, we're also excited to announce... The feature film Paper Champions, produced by our talented teachers Luke & Erin has landed on NETFLIX - check it out!... Week 5 is GREENSCREEN week and we've got something really exciting planned for our students... so much fun! There is a teen series being shot right here in Geelong and our teacher Brooke will be casting for all some very special extra roles - what a great opportunity for our teen students. 15.01.2022 With the help of our amazing industry mentor Luke, we have had over 19 students sign with agents this year, 9 of those have been on this month! 2021 is going to be a big year for the industry and we want you to be prepared. 15.01.2022 CASTING CALL - FEATURE FILM Catapult Casting are looking for 3 x females to play the following roles. MOJA (8 - 10 years old, pronounced Moya) ... Lead role, required for 5 weeks of filming in April/May 2021. Serious yet down to earth. She is resilient and organised. Moja's family are Slovenian, there are a few lines of dialogue in this language. The casting agent is interested in casting children that may be able to speak or learn Slovenian. It may help if they have an Eastern European background if not from Slovenia, from Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Poland or Russia as they may be able to pick up the Slovenian language more easily. DANGER (9 - 11 years old) - Support character, required for approx. 1 week of filming. She is a new friend for Moja. She is gregarious and bold, a physical kid who is into skateboarding or surfing (or a similarly outdoorsy sport). She might be from a multicultural background. VESNA (18 - 21 years old) - Captivating and charismatic, she is 6 months pregnant and her life is chaotic. She is known to write and perform beat poetry. Her main job right now is a dishwasher in restaurants. As per Moja, the casting agent is interested in casting someone who may be able to speak or learn Slovenian. 10.01.2022 In accordance with the Victorian Government's most recent update to COVID restrictions, it is mandatory for everyone aged 12 years and over to wear a mask while in the studio at all times.
