18.01.2022 What are your thoughts on this 60 minutes story? I agree that social media can be very damaging and provoke the chase for perfection in all ages of both women and men. On the other hand its a powerful space to do the contrary - share awareness, positive messages, support, love and kindness. ... Let’s hope our children and friends realise this and choose the latter!

18.01.2022 Sad news today with the passing of this beautiful and inspirational lady, June Dally Watkins. We have a long family history with June. It all started with my mum (Denise Lund) winning a modelling quest in her late teens. The quest was held in her home town, Barbara. Barbara is situated in the North West of NSW. Not long after winning the quest, mum found herself moving to the big smoke Sydney. It was there that she boarded with June in her home, modelled for her and assis...ted with the running of her deportment and grooming programs. This was a wonderful foundation and Denise worked with June for many years. Denise (mum) then married and moved to the NSW Central Coast to raise her own family. It was here that she started her own very successful model agency and deportment and grooming school, (Denise Lund’s Model Agency and Deportment and Grooming School). This school became my childhood. Most of my childhood memories are within this setting, either accompanying mum to classes or in my teens modelling myself both on the runway and attending many castings for TV work. As happens with generations, I then went on to marry and move to the NSW North Coast to raise four sons of my own. It was here, with the encouragement of friends, aware of our family history, they asked me to start classes for their daughters. This soon took off and many girls attended the programs at Grace Deportment and Grooming. Aptly named after the lady that started it all, Grace Lund, Denise’s mother and my adored Grandmother. Many girls from Grace Deportment went on to win quests and establish modelling carers themselves . I am now working in Primary Schools and am about to enter a ‘Diploma of Education' at Southern Cross University. Having a passion for supporting youth in both education and social issues, this is the perfect mix for me. Grace Deportment will recommence self-esteem programs term 2, 2020. Classes will have limited numbers and run in Lennox Head. 08.01.2022 Great events happening at Lennox Head this weekend . Friday night is our hilarious comedy dinner with Akmal Saleh! Come along and share An intimate evening with Akmal at Beef and Beach, Lennox Hotel. And Saturday night a touching documentary will premiere at the Lennox Head community centre, showing the amazing work the charity Rafiki Mwema does for the children of Kenya needing safe houses. Attending the evening will be the fabulous and one and only Constance Hall! Limited tickets are available for both events!
