17.01.2022 Hello everyone happy new year I hope Xmas was good to you. We are going to have a meeting at the little athletics shed on Saturday the 23rd of January at 2 o’clock to start to get the ball rolling for the year ahead please come along and help us out.

17.01.2022 Wow what a year it has been!! I would like to congratulate our awesome little heroes, on completing and winning the regional championships. I was always so so proud of our little champs, but to take the win after such a tough year!! Congratulations to your amazing efforts, also thank you to our amazing committee and awesome parents Blake Jasmine... Sarah Keith Amelia Clayton Ruby Logan Grace Lewis Sophie Thomas Congratulations to all the other clubs in our region, it was a great weekend and we are very much looking forward to the next one.

16.01.2022 As parents and volunteers, we all have a role to play in making the most out of our childs athletics journey. This is the type of sport that we need the help of our parents to make the day run smoothly, on time and with out the support/help from our parents athletics just wouldn't be possible. Thank you to all of our helpers today, we look forward to seeing you again next weekend.

16.01.2022 We are very excited to let everyone know that we are back on Sunday. We will be having our first meet. When: Sunday 19th July be there by 1pm (12:30pm) for set up Where: St Pauls oval... Cost: U6-u17: $60 Tiny tots: $ 40 You can also sign up online (i will post a link once they are live) Hats for sale $10 Please remember Hat, water bottle, enclosed shoes. Please remember our season is going to look another different to previous ones IF YOU ARE SICK DO NOT COME TO ATHLETICS a 1.5m social Distancing will need to be maintained if you are helping on the field you will have the one job at each event (e.g. if you are the measurer you and only you can touch the measuring tape.) hands need to be sanitised on arrival and departure. Also on arrival and departure to each event. the canteen will not be operational the shed will not be opening only Committee Members Allowed and that's one at a time. Our break up day will be being held on straight after our last meet which will be the 6th September. We will be having pizza and soft drinks this will Incur a $5 cost per athlete. due to such a short season we will be doing participation medals. 16.01.2022 HI there Athletes and Families, For those who are going to Regionals, here is the draft program https://laq.org.au//nordic-sport-central-north-regional-c/ if you are going to regionals please let me know and we will make a group chat as we are looking for *a team manager, *families to help out with our event triple Jump, we need rakers, measurer, recorder. (I know we all have children doing events so it would make it easier if everyone helped out.) We would also like t...o organise a BBQ/dinner on Saturday night. We will have our Senior athlete (Blake) offering some extra training on a Sunday after athletics, he specialises in throws and high jump. If your child would like some pointers in these areas please let me know as he is happy to help where he can. (I will let you know at the beginning of the Sunday session what he will be focusing on that week) Have you booked your accommodation?

15.01.2022 We need helpers tomorrow! We have some of our committee and usual helpers away, and I have a broken foot. We need helpers to set up (be there by 12:30/12:45) to set up stations, We also need parents out on the field to Marshall, measure, record. Please if you are there come onto the field and ask for a job, REMEMBER MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK. ... We rely on the help of parents, with out it we don't have a club. Also reminder on arrival come and sign in for our Covid-19 register, there will be a news letter and pizza order form for our break up which is on the 6th September. We need numbers! Thank you! Also, Blake will be doing some discus training after athletics in preparation for Regionals!

15.01.2022 REMINDER! Nominations Close at 9am tomorrow for Regionals in Agnes Waters, once its closed its closed. If you haven't registered than you need to do this NOW!

14.01.2022 Regionals is only a few weeks away, this year it is being held at Agnes Waters. This competition is for u7-u17. They have a souvenir shirts, if you would like one they are only doing pre orders atm. NO PAYMENT REQUIRED until closer to the date. I will have more information this Sunday to hand out for regionals

13.01.2022 It has been a terrific weekend in Agnes Water for the Nordic Sport Central North Regional Championships. Lots of smiling faces happy to be back out on the arena again!

12.01.2022 Some awesome shots of our first day of regional championships. Well what can I say except, I am super proud to be apart of Gracemere Little Athletics. I saw some exceptional sportsman ship, great encouragement, and great work at killing you events and lots of fun being had, so much laughter! Even though we didn't win the march past! You all looked awesome and a big high five you were all in matching hats. Look at us go!! We have another big day ahead of us tomorrow!... Thank you to Agnes Waters Little Athletics club for a great day! We are looking forward to breaking some more PB's!! (P.S. most of these photos were taken by Bailey, so if there are a bit how ya going that's why. but all in all I think she did a pretty good job)

12.01.2022 I just want to say thank you to all the parents who helped out yesterday it was amazing we are only a little club, but when we come together we are an awesome club. Now I can't wait for regionals, only 3 weeks away Nominations must be in by 9 am the 31st August, if you haven't done yours and your wanted to go please get them in now via results HQ, an invitation was sent out to you on the 14th August. Also booking accommodation ASAP would be advisable.... Also reminder we are in triple jump, we need helpers I have had 3 families say that they can help. I will be team manager, as I can't do anything due to my leg, I will know when and where your child needs to go i will also be reminds g them before each event. Also if you want a regionals shirt they are $48 (no money is required as yet) see pictures below for sizing and design. The Spring Carnival nominations have also ben sent out.

09.01.2022 At Gracemere Little Athletic we have our first Ever 250 Club Raffle Draw, we have all been hit a little hard due to COVID-19 and we missed all of our usual fundraising throughout the year, please help us make a difference to our little club. The tickets are $25 each, and you will have a 14 in 250 chance of winning, that is pretty good odds, we will be drawing the raffle on the 6th of December this will be live streamed, we will then contact the winners. This would be a great... little bank booster just before Christmas. 06.01.2022 We are very excited to announce that nominations are now open for the Central North Regional Championships in Agnes Water on September 12 & 13. Registered athletes can nominate and pay online via Results HQ, we have sent an email invitation to qualifying members, follow the prompts in the email. U7 & 8’s can nominate for up to 5 events. U9-17’s can nominate for up to 7 events ... Nomination fees are $15 per athlete NB event times displayed in Results HQ do not reflect the Region event order. There will be someone at the shed taking registrations and so you can fill in the register for this to happen in a timely manner please come around 12 - 12:30pm this will allow so we we can get everyone ready and start on time.
