25.01.2022 Remind them to be ready for every good work, To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people. For we were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another. But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his ...own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 24.01.2022 If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God’s love? It disappears. And you made it disappear. My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality. 1 John 3: 17 - 18

20.01.2022 What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn’t work. So I quit being a law man so that I could be God’s man. Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not mine, but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that. Galatians 2:20

20.01.2022 We tend to think of holiness as escaping from the death and corruption of this world. But Jesus, in full holiness and goodness came into the darkness of this world to bring life where death reigned. Just as Jesus touched the untouchable unclean leper and made him whole (rather than the leprosy contaminating Jesus), Jesus can touch our deepest uncleanliness and make us whole with his riches and his Spirit of life and goodness. Matthew 8:23 And behold, a leper came to him and knelt before him, saying, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean. And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, I will; be clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

20.01.2022 Jesus doesn’t see people as bad, he sees them as lost. And Jesus came into our lostness and fear and worry and suffering, to find us and restore us by His own Spirit.

19.01.2022 So many are struggling with isolation and fear during this pandemic. The constant reading out of data (statistics) with a follow up of - we are following the science, seems so impersonal and uncaring in a broken grieving world. The Good News of Jesus is that God cares for you. He doesn’t leave us isolated in the midst of a contagious disease, he doesn’t leave us lonely and separated from love and care, and he doesn’t leave us suffering in sickness with no hope and no answer.... God sent Jesus into the lostness of this world because he loves us. He didn’t send him to condemn us, he sent him to save us. And even though we still live in the darkness of this dying world we live with hope by his life and his glory. Romans 8 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation was subjected to futility, but in hope We know that creation will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, wthe redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And the one who searches hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose See more

18.01.2022 Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust. Proverbs 4: 23- 27

17.01.2022 We can be certain that God will give us the strength and resources we need to live through any situation in life that he ordains. The will of God will never take us where the grace of God cannot sustain us. Billy Graham

17.01.2022 "Many people feel so pressured by the expectations of others that it causes them to be frustrated, miserable and confused about what they should do. But there is a way to live a simple, joy-filled, peaceful life, and the key is learning how to be led by the Holy Spirit, not the traditions or expectations of man." Joyce Meyer

17.01.2022 A wonderful day!!!!

16.01.2022 The power of Jesus is not in the death on the cross, but in the resurrection from death. Jesus came into the darkness and the darkness did not overcome him. He overcame the darkness with his light, which is life for all humanity. Acts 2:24 God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.

15.01.2022 If you look for something to criticise, you will find it. If you look for something to compliment, you will find that too. Your choice.......

15.01.2022 " It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don’t use this freedom as an excuse to do whatever you want to do and destroy your freedom. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that’s how freedom grows. For everything we know about God’s Word is summed up in a single sentence: Love others as you love yourself. That’s an act of true freedom. If you bite and ravage each other, watch outin no time at all you will be annihilating each other, and where will your precious freedom be then? " Galatians 5: 13 - 15

14.01.2022 When a man has no strength, if he leans on God, he becomes powerful. D.L. Moody

11.01.2022 Some people are afraid at the moment. Afraid of this awful sickness, afraid of losing supposed freedom, afraid because the world as we knew it has changed so much, afraid of death and afraid of oppression. The answer to fear is love, because fear has to do with punishment. The world needs to know that God sent Jesus to save us from sickness and death. But when the world has no power over sickness they use methods to try to prevent the sickness spreading. The Law of Moses was ...the same. It told people not to touch the lepers and to separate them from the community as they were so contagious. But in Christ, we need to praying for the sick, and protecting others with love. In Wuhan China the Christians went out and prayed for the sick and dying in the streets and brought food to the suffering. They went where others feared to go. We are all free to worship God and live by his Spirit, but we also live in a fallen world. We need the world to see and know God’s love and care for them. Jesus loved people wherever he went and prayed for the sick and raised the dead. He didn’t fight against the oppression of the Romans as the Jews expected to set them free. He conquered death for the whole world, and gave those who accept his free gift of life his Spirit to live by, even in this fallen world. We are called to live by God’s light, a new and living way, even in this lost fallen world. See more

11.01.2022 In Jesus we have obtained an inheritance... when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

10.01.2022 We waste so much time being busy trying to produce life, or even serve God, in our own strength. But our flesh cannot serve God. We all fall short of the glory of God in our own strength. This is called sin. This is why we need a saviour. This is why we need someone to stand in the gap between God's holiness and glory, and our fallenness and brokenness. We need to learn to live by the Spirit of God who Jesus has gifted us when he saved us, and not by our own strength, our... own works,, our own strength, our own flesh. The writer to the Hebrews says that we need to make every effort to enter the Sabbath Rest of God. This is the place where we live in the finished work of God, the holiness of God, and not our fruitless efforts. Our hard work cannot achieve God's purpose, or even please God. We always fall short of God's purpose, and God's glory. But when we stop and spend time listening to God, being being filled with his Spirit and drinking in his living water we live a new and living way in his kingdom that is so different to the kingdoms of this world. When we live by the Spirit we live in God's justice and overcoming life and eternal hope overcoming the injustices and confusion and futileness and death of this world with love, mercy and restoration. The mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. 02.01.2022 Pray, and let God worry. Martin Luther

02.01.2022 After being sick for a long time and isolated and unable to do normal everyday activities, the things people do (on social media) seem really weird, particularly church services. I love that I can worship God anywhere, that his presence and Spirit are always close and life-filling and empowering. I don’t need to sing four songs to somehow work up his presence. I just stop and listen and he is here is overwhelmingly here. I thank Jesus for all he has done and drink in his life... and fullness. Everything else suddenly seems so unimportant and a bit weird! The things we think are essential to having a church service, or worshipping God... are they really essential? We now live by the Spirit in a broken world. People are screaming for freedom that many others never have the choice to have. They are sick, elderly, disabled, and broken by this world.. and can’t function in the bubble world that a few call normal. They suffer this type of isolation everyday! Let’s stop and care and learn to live by his Spirit, worship God everywhere, love our neighbours, and listen to Gods gentle voice who maybe is calling us out of the busyness and frantic things we do that we call life, but maybe they are not. Life is found in him, in his stillness, in his gentleness, by his Spirit and his ways and in loving our neighbours and worshipping God alone (and not the things of this world). And then we can care for the broken, heal the sick in Jesus name, and befriend the isolated and neglected to rebuild true community that loves God and people. See more
