25.01.2022 Hello everyone - Today is my final day as Manager at the Club and I want to take the opportunity to thank you for supporting the Club during my time here and I wish you all well for the future. The Club is about to enter into an exciting phase in its history & Im sure the new track & facilities will provide a first class venue for Greyhound racing in the Northern Rivers area. On a personal note thank you for the support & advice I have received during my time here...... most... has been positive...... except the kiwi bashing The Club is fortunate to have some great staff & its been a pleasure to work alongside them. 25.01.2022 Hi All, We had a great night of racing, even though a little chilly. Freckles Brown for Roger ONeill won the 407m Maiden, has been knocking on the door of late. Bowie Bonus for Evelyn Harris flew at the last minute to win Race 2. Jackies Yoyo had a strong win for Laurence Walker in Race 3 with a PB and Bokarm Archie in Race 4 for Les Purnell had an exciting win. The final of the Ladbrokes Boost 5th Grade over 305m was taken out by the Evelyn Harris trained Darling Display. ...Kalang Beach trained by Trevor Rice had a nice win from box 8 over the 407m in Race 6. Reg Gardolls consistent Im Zarr Rock had a big win over the 480m Race 7 and Payment Time for Lesley Green in Race 8 hugged the rails for a nice win. Spookie Magic in Race 9 rounded up the field from box 8 to win for Reg Gardoll. Zanti Gracie for Frank Jamieson looks like she is back to her best with a win in Race 10 and Aston Ute hung on in Race 11 for Stephen Keep to finish the programme. Congratulations to both Evelyn Harris and Reg Gardoll on training doubles for the night. See more
24.01.2022 We are still racing and have had some great results over the last few weeks. On 3rd April Andrew Monaghan trained a treble and Evelyn Harris a double then the storm came and washed the last race out. Our Maiden heats were held on the 4th April with some very nice young dogs coming through. On the 7th April the spoils were shared with Ben Ellis training a trifecta. On the 8th April Warren Kempshall trained a quinella and Andrew Monaghan training another treble. On the 11th Apr...il the track was smoking with some very fast times. Reg Gardoll trained a double as did Evelyn Harris with the ever favourite Cosmic Bonus with a PB and another win. Ben Ellis very consistent Push Me won again. The final of the GGRC Easter Maiden was won by James Gallways Katana in a very handy time. Tonight is the Ladbrokes Red Dog Final with Bazza Brann winning very nicely trained by Andrew Monaghan. Please remember that trials are held on Tuesday and Friday mornings only and bookings are a must. Thank you to all who have stepped up in these diffuclt times our staff and volunteers have been amazing. A lot of hard work but well worth it to keep the dream alive! A reminder that we are now allowed to have the canteen open for takeaway meals on race meetings starting this Saturday. We have also just been informed that our July Carnival will not be going ahead which is very disappointing but we must continue to do what is asked of us. Happy Racing! See more

22.01.2022 Well we beat the storm last night and there was some great racing. Terry Hickson trained a double as did Craig Last who was visiting from Forster. Our local trainers also did well picking up wins. Please be aware that there will be no trials this afternoon because of the weather policies.

21.01.2022 We had the spoils shared around last night with 12 races and 12 trainers saluting. The Ladbrokes Maiden was won by the Des Winters trained One Valley over the 305m. Big Bro Tango trained by Shane Staples had a tough win in Race 2 and the locally trained Sail Bye had a strong win for John Antonelli in Race 3. The final of the Ladbrokes Boost 1-2 wins was taken out by the locally trained Jet Black Beach for Stephen Attwater. Battle for Glenda Dart had a nice win over the 480m a...nd Kalang Beach trained by Trevor Rice had a strong win in Race 6. Vista Inferno trained locally by Katherine Mackay had a strong win and won right on the post in Race 7 over the 480m. A good win for Kingsbrae Trevor who is becoming consistent for Andrew Monaghan in Race 8 and Telling Porkies for Robbie Andrews won Race 9 over the 480m with a hard but convincing win. Back Off for Jacob Northfield had a great win in the Masters and led from start to finish in Race 10. That Fella for another local trainer Lesley Green got out in front and could not be run down in Race 11 and the last was won by the favourite Perfect Nangar for Craig Gardoll. 21.01.2022 Our meeting on Wednesday night saw some close results with a deadheat in one of the races. Colin Graham trained a double with a nice win from Inspire Us and the consistent Distant Star with a comfortable win over the 480m. Tweed Dolly beat the stablemate Tweed Princess in the Maiden for Mark Johnston. Kalang Beach for Trevor Rice is becoming a consistent runner. Jimary Turbo won the 610m convincingly and just kept going for Malcolm Ross, a big loping greyhound with a big hear...t. My Mate Morton was back with an exciting win for Terry Hickson and Speedy Lulu for Dave Richardson on the bunny again. Dashing Thunder for Sonia Kempshall had a close win and our Vice President Des Winters had a win with Shelley Valley from Box 5. Stephen Keep had a good win with Ace Chase and Evelyn Harris chipped in with a win in the last with Boom Yah Bonus. On Saturday night the skies looked ominous and Race 1 Dashing Thunder saluted again. Copperhead Rogue for Stephen Keep smoked the track with an impressive win from a very good field of greyhounds. The skies opened up and it rained on and off for about 2 hours. Leonie North had a nice win with Emerley Burnout in the Maiden. The trainers spread the spoils with Robbie Andrews and Lil Breeze, Mitch Northfield and Kooringa Maizie. Ben Ellis Push Me with another great win. Hootin Annie from Box 6 jumped and was never headed for a suprising win for Leon Cunningham. Dean Turleys Zipping Irwin upset the favourite in Cosmic Bonus to earn a hard fought win. Congratulations to Tyson Barton, Brian Stephens and Trevor Rice, with Trevor training the last winner! Race 1 the Ladbrokes Maiden was won by Mia City for Brian Stephens with a last to first win. Wayne Camerons Mac Zephyr ran a smart race to win Race 2. Big Bro Tango for Shane Staples won Race 3 with a last minute lung on the line. Seductive Gem for Tyson Barton had a strong win in the... 480m Race 4 and Mia Beryl May has found her form winning Race 5 for Brian Stephens. Kalang Beach for Trevor Rice won Race 6 with a smart win. Race 7 The Ladbrokes Red Dog Final was won by Payment Time trained by Lesley Green, she jumped in front and was never headed. Race 8 was won convincingly by Lyndan Picture for Terry Jordan. Dashing Thunder won Race 9 for Sonia Kempshall and Race 10 was won by Miyazaki for Tyson Barton. The last race was won by Mixed Bag for Trevor Rice being the final winner on the old track. 16.01.2022 Well, the racing was interesting to say the least last night. A few favourites were beaten and some roughies emerged. Race 1 the Ladbrokes Maiden over the 305m was won by the Fiona Geary trained Vicmyster. Race 2 was a close affair with Jet Black Beach winning for Stephen Attwater and Bokarm Bella having a nice win for Les Purnell at good odds in Race 3. Race 4 the GDSC Maiden over the 407m was a bumping duel with Mixed Bag coming out the other end to win by a large margin fo...r Trevor Rice. Race 5 was won by Hootin Annie from Box 8. She stayed out of trouble and flew down the outside at the death for a hard win for trainer Leon Cunningham. Race 6 was won by Not Out Cloud for Gavin Lowe who is on a roll at the moment. Kingsbrae Trevor had a nice win for Andrew Monaghan in Race 7 and Stigmatize in Race 8 saluted for Ben Ellis. Fernando Marks led from start to finish to take out Race 9 over the 480m distance for Michael Landrigan. Race 10 the Masters was won by Egg Shells Cloud for Deborah Lowe. 16.01.2022 Good morning all, Racing last night continued with fast times and a great track. Race 1 the Ladbrokes Maiden was won by the Evelyn Harris trained Vicki Bonus. Aster Valley is becoming so consistent with a big win in Race 2 for trainer Des Winters. Jimary Passion streeted the field from Box 1 for trainer Malcolm Ross and Royal Valley flew down the outside to come home the winner in Race 4 for Des Winters. Modified Trunk is also becoming consistent on his home track for Warren ...Kempshall with a hard fought win in Race 5. Another Jimary this time Jimary Star for Malcolm Ross won Race 6. Fernando Marks saluted in Race 7 for trainer Michael Landrigan. Words Wrong for Trevor Rice led from start to finish from Box 1 in Race 8 and Dixie Louise for John Corrigan did the same in Race 9 over the 480m and was strong all the way home. Race 10 was another jump in front and catch me if you can type race with the wonderful little Push Me saluting again for Ben Ellis. 15.01.2022 Our meeting on Wednesday night saw the Heats of the Ladbrokes Switch with our local trainers taking 4 out of the 5 places in the final for this Wednesday night. Andrew Monaghan had a nice win with Kasatkina in the Maiden, she has been knocking on the door. Scraping By for Julie King had a convincing win in the 407m Maiden and Ronald Ulricks On The Bubble jumped from Box 1 and was not headed. Stephen Keeps Marions Regret was a consistent winner and the Heats were won by Man...ny Antonellis Sail Bye, Trevor Rice Kalang Beach, Boom Yah Bonus for Evelyn Harris, Slipping Away for Leon Cunningham and Nimble Valley for Des Winters. Trevor Rice trained a double with Eilte Jax and Craig McPhees Mr Blaster again saluting. Saturday night saw Reg Gardoll train a double with Oscar Awards with a strong win and Twice As Wise winning from start to finish in the 610m. Gavin Lowes Porsche Cloud nutted Emerley Burnout on the line for a strong win. Ben Ellis Push Me again had a strong win and ran a fast time, they just could not catch her. John Clarasons Kulu Zipster beat the favourites to have a nice win, How consistent is Distant Star for Colin Graham, another great win. Copperhead Rogue smoked the track yet again which was very pleasing for trainer Stephen Keep and owner Shannon Scott. Demander Valley had a very strong win just on the post for Dave Irwin and Capture Wing who has been told she is going to a nice adopted home won again, so for Shane Staples she is staying for a while longer. The remarkable Cosmic Bonus showed the rest of the field he has still got it jumping with the field then pulling away for a strong win for Evelyn Harris. The 5th Grade final are on this Wednesday twilight, good luck to everyone and the Ladbrokes Super Series 5th Grade Heats are on Saturday night 23rd May, dont forget to nominate. 14.01.2022 Hi All, Our meeting on Wednesday night went well with Andrew Monaghan training a double and the rest spread with individual trainers. Evelyn Harris Lenray Bonus ran another great race and time with back to back wins. Saturday nights meeting saw Craig McPhee train a double and Andrew Monaghan training a treble - his stable is on fire at present. Anthony Bunneys home favourite You Telam Joy ran a great race in the Masters. Garnet Robertsons favourite dog Old Dominion ran a great race to upset the field to win. The May racing calendar is out and we are racing every Wednesday twilight and Saturday evenings. 14.01.2022 Hi Everyone Our last meeting before Christmas was a wonderful success. Thank you to everyone that participated and helped, especially the wonderful members of the GBOTA, Wayne Blanch, Les Purnell and Ian Woods, great cooking on the BBQ guys. To all the trainers who won a race, who also won a Xmas Ham, amazing that there were 12 races and 12 different trainers so it was definately spread around. Chris Field training a Quinella and Stephen Keep trained a Trifecta. May you all ...have a wonderful relaxing time with family and friends and a few days off. 13.01.2022 Hi All, Well our first race meeting took place yesterday afternoon with the new procedures in place. What great racing it was. Our two local trainers trained doubles namely Stephen Keep with a couple of very nice youngsters and Ben Ellis with a couple of his old favorites being consistent as always. Also well done to Evelyn and Len Harris wonderful old boy Cosmic Bonus notching up another win, it is a thrill to watch this dog race. Thank you to our wonderful staff and volunt...eers for the amazing job they are doing in these difficult times to keep us racing. As of next week we will be racing Tuesday and Saturday nights and Wednesday twilight until further notice. Our meetings this Friday twlight and Saturday night kennelling will now start at 1.58pm and 5.28pm respectively., We will also be running trials Thursday mornings only with bookings essential until further notice. 12.01.2022 The local trainers won 6 out of the 11 races last night with 11 individual trainers saluting yet again. Bokarm Billy had a strong win in the 305m Maiden for Bob Merillo and Brian Griffin won on the line for Daryl Bates over the 407m Maiden. Pass the Sauce for Andrew Monaghan went out favourite in Race 3 and had a nice win. Craig Gardolls Perfect Nangar ran the "perfect" race in Race 4. Race 5 was won by Jimary Star for Malcolm Ross with a clever rails run win. The every cons...istent Thanks Nelly for Mitchell Northfield led from start to finish in Race 6 and Freddys Home for Ken Staines also ran a smart race to dive on the line in Race 7. Another consistent winner is Jet Black Beach for Stephen Attwater in Race 8 and Des Winters One Valley won from start to finish in Race 9. The last two races were won by Star Helen for Shane Staples and Telling Porkies for Robbie Andrews. Both these dogs smoked the track and won by large margins. Good luck to everyone next week in the final of the Ladbrokes Red Dog, which should be a very exciting race. 10.01.2022 Hi All, Our racing continued last night with a 12 race program. Speedy Bonus won the 305m Maiden trained by Evelyn Harris. Bokarm Bella had a nice win over the 407m Maiden for Les Purnell. Redback Katie is back to some nice form for Bradley Northfield winning the first Heat of the Ladbrokes Switch, Darling Display for Evelyn Harris winning the second Heat and Mac Zephyr won the third heat for Wayne Cameron. Kalang Beach had a strong win for Trevor Rice and Lotties Beach a co...nvincing win over the 480m trip. Battle won Race 8 for Glenda Dart and Star Helen is nothing but consistent for Shane Staples winning Race 9. Dixie Louise jumped in front and was never headed to win Race 10 for John Corrigan and Push Me for Ben Ellis was at her brilliant best yet again to win from start to finish. My Mac Boy had a strong win for Craig McPhee to finish the meeting for the night. Congratulations to Glenda Dart and Evelyn Harris both training doubles. 10.01.2022 The meeting on Wednesday twilight produced some excellent racing with our local Ben Ellis training an early double with Robell Ronny and Loch It and our visiting trainer Andrew Monaghan training a trifecta of winners namely Overgrip, Super Tie and Rinadeena in the last. The final of the Ladbrokes Switch Final was taken out by the Evelyn Harris trained Boom Yah Bonus with a hard fought win. It was a strong field on paper and the greyhounds didnt let us down with a very compet...itive race. Stephen Keeps Alleys Angel had a nice win as did Imelda for James Gallaway. The consistent Emerley Burnout had a strong win for Leone North and it was nice to see all the trainers in that race happy for Leone as the winning trainer! Craig McPhee chipped in with a win with Arty Barty as well. Saturday nights racing was great with our local trainers Stephen Keep, Ken Staines and Reg Gardoll all training doubles. The heats of the Ladbrokes Maiden Series and the Ladbrokes Super Series 5th Grade did not disappoint. Ken Staines Cedar Izmir ran a pretty handy time in the 1st Heat with a strong win, Tyson Bartons Wheres Twenty had a surprising win in the 2nd Heat, Special Nangar for Reg Gardoll had a strong win and Pretty Paws for John Corrigan had a hard fought win in the 4th Heat. Ripple River for Stephen Keep won the 1st Heat of the 5th Grade series, Alby Valley had a close win in the 2nd Heat for John Dart, Nangar Silk for Dave Irwin smoked the track in the 3rd Heat and Dashing Thunder for Sonia Kempshall won the 4th Heat. The ever consistent Push Me for Ben Ellis set the sand on fire with a PB in the FFA over 305m. Freddys Home for Ken Staines jumped from Box 1 and was never headed in the 5th Grade 305m and Stephen Keeps amazing Copperhead Rogue ran a PB as well to win very convincingly. Reg Gardoll finished off a great night of racing with Tucabia winning in the last. Reg also has 1 dog in each of the finals this Saturday night which looks like a great night of racing. The finals will be very exciting and there is really not much of a difference in the quality of the dogs. I think it will come down to box draw and a little bit of luck. 09.01.2022 What a great night of racing on Monday night. The spoils were shared around with 10 races and 10 trainers winning. The feature race was the Barry Walters Memorial Final. Thank you to the Walters family for continuing this great race. Tony Atkins dogs drew boxes 1, 2 and 3 but unfortunately Bobby Brann fell sick and was scratched. Hari Brann was the eventual winner with her kennel mate Fleur Brann running a close second with Lyndan Picture in third. Tony has been donating $100 from his winnings for the month of January to the Bushfire Appeal. This is Hari Brann second win in as many weeks. Well done Tony and your winning greyhounds.

07.01.2022 Our Meeting on Wednesday saw the spoils again spread through the training ranks. Ronald Ulrick had a great win with his maiden Lizard Licker. There were some surprise wins as well but as everyone knows anything can happen in a race and you have to be in it to win it. Colin Grahams Distant Star had a gutsy win in the last. Some very handy times were also seen on the night. Our Saturday night meeting saw some of our local trainers with a win and two of our Committee men having... wins as well. Kim Bates maiden Daniela Walsh had a nice win. Peter Deans Mistys Flash had a strong win from Box 7. Dave Richardson has a new girl in his kennel and she had a handy win. Copperhead Rogue owned by Shannon Scott and trained by Stephen Keep looks like he is back with a very strong win. Andew Monaghans Bobby Brann smoked the track with a fantastic win, and what can you say about the wonderful Push Me, trained by Ben Ellis such an honest and consistent greyhound. 07.01.2022 Our meeting on Wednesday saw some great racing with some quick times. Most of the favourites got up on the night. The training ranks spread the wins around again. Dashing Thunder trained by Sonia Kempshall ran a fast time in the 407m Maiden. Trevor Rice is having a good run with Mandoza Ripple and Evenlyn Harris Bowie Bonus is becoming consistent. Lesley Greens Payment Time ran a strong race with a big margin win. Saturday night saw Reg Gardoll train a double with Oscar Awa...rds big win and Im Zarr Rock with a hard win from behind. Our President John Corrigans Dixie Louise ran a great race for a handy win. Shane Staples Capture Wing won the Maiden and Dean Caseys very consistent Country Cottage ran a strong race. Allan Langs Been Adjourned ran a fantastic race after a long spell to show he still has it! Chris Fields Magical Mia had a handy win. The Masters were out in force and the 3 races were well contested, Rapid Blaze, Rock The Road and Our Cavalier all winning well. Good luck to everyone on Wednesday and Saturday this week. 04.01.2022 Hi All, Well the local trainers had a great night winning 7 of the 10 races. Maybe home ground advantage! Race 1 407m Maiden was won by Perfect Nangar trained by Craig Gardoll in a handy time. Freddys Home trained by Ken Staines zoomed up the inside to win Race 2. Aster Valley for Des Winters had a convincing win in Race 3 and Magical Mia for Chris Field ran a smart race to win Race 4. Race 5 was taken out by Not Out Cloud from box 5 for Gavin Lowe. The first of the Ladbroke...s Red Dog Bonus Heat was won by Lesley Greens Payment Time, Heat 2 was won by Troy Butlers Thats Lil Coco and Heat 3 was won by a strong run from Slipping Away for Leon Cunningham. Race 9 was won by Nash Bonus trained by Evelyn Harris and Thanks Nelly for Mitchell Northfield rounded the night up with a strong win. Good luck to those that are in the final next Monday night. 03.01.2022 Hi All, My apologies firstly for non contact as I have been away from the office. Our meeting last night saw some nice wins with the running of 4 heats of the Ladbrokes Red Dog 5th Grade over the 480m trip. Twice As Wise for Reg Gardoll won from the barest of margins, Seductive Avatar for Tyson Barton won by an even smaller margin at a great price, Robell Roxy had a strong win for Ben Ellis and Kooringa Thelly for Craig McPhee also won by a very small margin. The final next w...eek should be a very competitive race. Dave Grundys Badgers Delight saluted in the 305m Maiden, she has been very consistent and knocking on the door for her Maiden win. Shelley Valley for Des Winters had another strong win by a nose. Jimary Cricket for Malcolm Ross rounded the field up for a nice win. Ivy Rose for Shane Cartwright has also been knocking on the door and ran Lil Breeze down in the shadows of the post. Modified Trunk for Warren Kempshall wound up for a very strong win. Kulu Eagle for John Clarson had a strong win with John training the Quinella in Race 8. Bad Neighbour for Evelyn Harris came home strongly to win Race 11 and the ever consistent Push Me won again for Ben Ellis who trained a double for the night. See more

Les Purnells 407m Maiden Bokarm Archie had a strong win and Wayne Camerons Winlock Pete also had a nice win over the 305m Maiden. Albert Zarbs Shonky Dreamer had a close win over 305m 4th/5th Grade. Ken Staines trained a double with Ivy Izmir and Freddys Home. With Freddys Home litter sister Pretty Paws winning for John Corrigan over the 407m. Nangar Silk ran ...a fast time to win the 5th Grade Final she won from start to finish for Dave Irwin. Jimary Cricket for Malcolm Ross is becoming consistent with another win. Warren Kempshalls Modified Trunk saluted again over the 407m FFA. Rapid Blaze won for Trevor Rice in the Masters and Jackies Yoyo for Laurence Walker won the Pathways over 305m. 01.01.2022 Good morning all, We received the sad news of the sudden death of one of our local trainers, Peter Dean. Peter raced Linley's Flash and Misty's Flash, more recently. We send our condolences to Peter's family at this sad time. The tenders for the re-structure of the track will be in hand tomorrow the 4 November with a decision made soon thereafter.... Our Annual General Meeting is set down for Sunday 15 November commencing at 11.00am. Please come and support your Club.
