25.01.2022 The health and wellbeing of the client families and community we serve, as well as our caring team here at Graham Family Funerals is our highest priority. We also need to be very aware of the contact we have with others and how that may affect extended family and friends, particularly the elderly and those with compromised immunity. We are monitoring the situation daily through the Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA), the Health Department and WHO and have imple...mented safeguards based on their directions, as they have come to hand. At this stage, while funerals are going ahead we ask that families please consider ways to reduce possible exposure and spread of this virus. We will also discuss options with our client families with perhaps consideration to hold smaller gatherings until such time as a larger memorial can take place. Public gatherings have been identified as a risk and funerals are no exception. Most importantly we must ask that anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms or who have recently returned from travel, especially from hot-spot countries (e.g: China, Japan, South Korea, Iran, Italy & Spain) consider not attending funerals during this uncertain period. We understand that this is especially difficult at a time of grief, where a hug, kiss and handshake are ways in which we show our feelings but we do know that COVID-19 spreads through close contact with an infected person, mostly face-to-face. Please keep safe and minimise your exposure. If you think you might have COVID-19 because of recent travel or contact with a confirmed case, phone the Tasmanian Public Health Hotline (1800 671 738) for advice. If you haven’t travelled or had contact with confirmed case, phone your doctor or healthdirect Australia (1800 022 222).

24.01.2022 Rotary Club of Salamanca combined with the hosting and contribution of Paul & Annie Graham hosted a wonderful fundraiser for the Bushfire appeal, attended by many friends , family & some local fire brigade members. 08.01.2022 Following advice and direction from the Australian Government Department of Health, we must make significant changes to our operations. We work on the front line and must take these steps to not only ensure the safety of our staff, but also the vulnerable families we interact with every day. The COVID-19 pandemic is a severe threat to our community and we all need to play our part in slowing the spread.... Funerals currently planned will go ahead as arranged. The number of people attending funeral services will need to comply with maximum numbers as dictated by the Australian Department of Health. We have adopted this policy to follow the best available advice under the direction of the Australian Chief Medical Officer. Public gatherings have been identified as a risk, and funerals are no exception to this. Public gatherings have been restricted in size to 20 people. Family members who have travelled from overseas will not be permitted to attend as per advice from the Australian Department of Health. We have the capability to Livestream funeral services. Our company has long been a leader in the industry for the flexible delivery of funeral services, and please rest assured that we have infrastructure in place to arrange video recordings and/or livestream of funeral services. In addition, we will also continue to provide a variety of options to families with consideration to the pandemic unfolding. Funerals will not be able to have catering afterwards. We have made this difficult decision as a company in the interest of public health and safety. Therefore, we ask for your cooperation in not attending services or arrangements if you have any symptoms of illness - even the slightest sore throat. We ask for the same cooperation if you have been in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19 within the previous 14 days. We understand that these measures are especially difficult during a time of grief where personal contact is a natural way to show care and support. We do know that COVID-19 spreads through close contact with an infected person, mostly face-to-face and in this regard we ask you to consider and minimise your risk of exposure. Despite the unprecedented situation we all find ourselves in, please rest assured that we are here to guide you and assist anyone during this time. If you have any question in relation to planning for a funeral, please make contact with us. As circumstances with regard to the pandemic unfold, we are here to help. Paul Graham Managing Director

03.01.2022 Do you have a journal? A diary? Journaling can be a really effective tool for working ‘with’ your grief. It’s confidential. It’s a way of working through the myriad of ups and downs and the ebbs and flows of your heart & it’s just for YOU. Even if it begins with just random words or doodles or Today I feel .... I’ve been journaling pretty much my whole life and it’s the first tool I introduce in grief work ... give it a go today Even if it starts on a scrap of paper.

01.01.2022 A wonderful share
