23.01.2022 FRESH MONDAY MORNING BEER REVIEW Shapeshifter Brewing Company | Level Up Oat Cream IPA Zeitgeist, the first Oat Cream IPA from Shapeshifter, was deemed a success amongst beer fans and those who were inquisitive enough to drink a beer that sounds like a milkshake. Their second offering has hit shelves around South Australia to an equally positive reaction. We gave the task of reviewing this beast to craft beer loving Felicity who was yet to delve into the world of lactose en...hanced brews. 22.01.2022 FRESH | SUNDAY BEER REVIEW Swell Brewing Co. | NEIPA McLaren Vale With a bunch of excellent limited releases under their belt over the last little while it was only a matter of time before Swell had a crack at a NEIPA. We think they have done a wonderful job.... Managed to crack a can of this already? Let us know what you thought in the comments.
21.01.2022 George's Folly Wines | Off With the Fairies Roussanne | 2018 Fleurieu Peninsula Felicity and Alex review this beautiful wine from George's Folly. If the Roussanne variety is something new to you then we highly suggest you grab something to try, an Italian variety with so much to offer. ... With hints of dried fruit, old barrels and sweet pears, this crisp Roussanne would delight both Prosecco and Chardonnay drinkers alike. But despite its broad appeal, this is certainly not a throwaway wine. I wouldn’t suggest wasting it on an occasion when it has anything but your full attention, and frankly that is a compliment to the wine. It just has that kind of poetic appeal; a classy timelessness. Like the second act of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, the second glass of ‘Off With the Fairies’ is an experience to relish, full of unexpected twists and turns... 20.01.2022 FRESH BEER REVIEW Ministry of Beer | Mosaic Sour Look what has made its way into cans! We refresh our previous review of this delicious hopped kettle sour from these Barossa legends. REVIEW ... https://www.graild.com.au/review-ministry-of-beer-mosaic-s/ Hops generally take a back seat when it comes to this style. Generally speaking it's all about the fruit, whether that be through direct fruit additions (or concentrated puree) and the acidity. The fruit in this case is brought to you by the Mosaic hops. Pouring light straw in colour with a quickly dissipating head, we get a fair dose of those Mosaic hops on the nose. Passionfruit, some light citrus and a touch of pine were most prominent. - #southaustraliancraftbeer #sourbeer #summer #weekend #fridaybeers #review #graild #drinklocal

13.01.2022 Don't miss our review of this delicious Barossa Valley Brewing Triple Barrel Aged Stout. Pouring a pitch black with a creamy tan head which lingers reasonably well. Molasses and vanilla on the nose, characteristics you can only imagine are being imparted on the liquid by those barrels. Moving towards a rich salted caramel as it warms slightly with touches of booze around the fringes. A rich smooth mouthfeel which only gets better the longer you let it sit and edge closer t...o room temperature. FULL REVIEW https://www.graild.com.au/barossa-valley-brewing-triple-ba/

11.01.2022 GIN WEDNESDAY | REVIEW Two barrel aged gins in a row. I think Cathryn may be a fan. Kangaroo Island Spirits The first thing I noticed was the beautiful pale straw colour of the gin. As expected, juniper is the first botanical on the nose, with honey and vanilla notes coming through after the juniper subsides.... 10.01.2022 QUICK REVIEW Pirate Life Brewing | DDDH Cryo NEIPA (IT'S A BEER) Port Adelaide Tropical fruits and a mandarin soaked citrus up front.... Moderate bitterness, especially for a NEIPA Earthy, spicey hop characters at the back end. Feels a little thin for the style, lacks any real creaminess and the hop combination feels a touch disjointed. Maybe just lacked the punch that the aggressive branding required. A tasty hazy, no doubt and incredibly well priced for this size and ABV. If you're a hazy fan, jump on in! " #hazyipa #dddhneipa #piratelife #beer #neipa #southaustralia #craftbeer See more

If there was ever a wine designed to complement seafood, then this is it. Everything about this Gerwurztraminer/Riesling speaks of the tropics. 02.01.2022 MONDAY AFTERNOON TEA Pirate Life Brewing x Dilmah Tea Possibly not a combination many would have predicted but here we are. Hannah has taken this new limited release collaboration between Pirate Life Brewing and Dilmah for a spin and let us know what she thought of it. This beer is crafted with malted barley, New Zealand hops, and over one hundred kilos of Premium Black Ceylon Tea. This pours like a typical Brown Ale, brown in colour and of thin consistency. Upon the nose..., it has a beautiful sweet, malt scent, which hit me as soon as I poured it into my mug! Drinking it in a mug only seemed fitting.
