16.01.2022 Day 3 - sport - learning new skills together #EdWeek20. At Sonny’s request, today we tried soccer, and we soon worked out why he requested it! After a bit of skills work around the cones, and goal practice, with Dakota making a penalty line out of teachers (they looked very impressed!) we played a match.... Team Everyone vs. Team Sonny..... it’s fair to say Sonny won 20-0
16.01.2022 Finally, a huge congratulations to our two wonderful school captains Pieper Hawkins and Connor Mackay, on receiving the Education Week Directors Award. Your care, compassion and leadership in our school is second to none.
12.01.2022 Our work experience program offers students a half day of focus activities designed to prepare them for life outside of Gralee. Students attend placements at local businesses and disability service providers, on a rotational basis so that the students and their families understand what is available in our area after school. Thank you to the wonderful places that say ‘yes’ to our students, they deserve the best and this is definitely what they have received It’s also fun to catch up with past students

11.01.2022 **appreciation post** On Thursday’s, Star class head into town to complete simple life skills activities. Today this included posting, shopping, banking and of course ordering lunch! A huge shout out to local business owners, workers and the general public who wait patiently for us as sometimes we take a bit of time to order with visuals or in Auslan, to pay using a savings card, or to pack groceries. This is also an extremely social day for us with many locals chatting with us, asking what we are cooking or just being kind Today my heart is full as I got a double thumbs up, big smile and I did it Carly! I got the package. Thank you Leeton AustraliaPost ALDI Australia Beyond Bank The Reject Shop La Fresco Caffè
10.01.2022 Today Carly met with principals from other Schools for Specific Purposes; Snowy Valley School (Tumut), Tirriwirri School (new SSP in Queanbeyan), Willans Hill School (Wagga Wagga) and Kalinda (Griffith). They collaborated around the ACARA Learning Progrssions, listened to Carol Angel who is a Behaviour Specialist, shared what has worked well within their schools this year and reviewed current Personalised Learning and Support Plans. A wonderful network of principals who truly know the ins and outs of SSP’s.
10.01.2022 It’s our favourite day of the year!!!
09.01.2022 Welcome education week 2020 - Learning together. A different format this year, but nothing about 2020 has been typical so far. Each day this week we will showcase our school learning together through different activities. Today - gardening - of course led by our garden guru himself Arthur Stavrow. It’s safe to say our new garden bed is a very big improvement from the weed bed it was this morning. Well done staff and students, many hands made light work #EdWeek20
08.01.2022 Day 2 - education week #EdWeek20 Today we completed a group art project (final product will be revealed tomorrow! The art soon turned into a glitter fight, a few staff members were not so impressed (Chantelle, Jack and Carly!) and a few staff members bathed in the glitter like it was Mardi Gras (Dawn and Jo!), great action shots by Hannah! A very funny afternoon
