07.01.2022 THE BUDGERIGAR SOCIETY OF NSW INC To the ANBC listed below is a motion that is to be presented to all States and Zones in Australia for all of their members to vote via postal or electronic ballot and the results forwarded to the ANBC secretary. The motion is forwarded by Mark Finnimore BSNSW Secretary on behalf of BSNSW members. Motion That at the ANBC National Show in 2021 that only 2019 rung birds are only to be shown and for this pattern to continue for following Nationa...l Shows. Benefits This would allow all breeders the opportunity to present late bred spring birds at the National as a number of breeders currently miss out all together on having all these birds available for the Nationals. The birds should all fully mature so that every bird bred in each calendar year has an equal opportunity By having 2019 birds this again gives all breeders the opportunity to breed these birds prior to Nationals. In subsequent years, by have a bird being eligible for the National 2 years after the year of the ring, all breeders have the opportunity to breed with the birds prior to the National By having 2019 birds this would end any further issues with the ring issue date. It also encourages breeders to pair up when it is best for the birds, rather than pair up based on the show calendar. See more
