24.01.2022 Welcome to new doctor at the Grange, Dr Wai Linn Aung. He has just finished a rural placement and has lots of same-day and walk-in appointments available.

22.01.2022 The COVID situation. We are having to adapt our lives, day-by-day as the situation changes and as government decrees continue to come out. The fabulous team at the Grange, Receptionists, nurses and doctors will continue to try to provide the best ethical services and keep you all going through this crisis. ... Some things will be different. Reducing direct physical contact or close proximity or even more distant exposure is becoming important. We do this by keeping the time spent in the surgery short and changing some physical contacts. Again, if you have a cough or a fever or other high risk situations, please be considerate and discuss your needs on the phone. Sit apart in the waiting room. We will accept bulk billing where appropriate to avoid handling the EFTPOS. By law we must offer you to sign the medicare slip but if you prefer to not handle the biro you can opt to forgo physically signing. People over 70, pregnant ladies and mothers of children under 1 and all those with "chronic diseases" are eligible to have telephone consultations. These will be booked into appointment slots and given proper consideration. The Grange Pharmacy next door has a delivery service available. Until 3rd April Dr Thio will be able to consult ALL her patients by telephone. Please understand that we are trying to make this work out and while many people will become frustrated there is no reason to take out any of this frustration on our staff. Stay healthy and let us help you stay that way

22.01.2022 We ARE still open. The Grange is here to help you through the difficult times. We are doing a lot of telephone connections through new Medicare items. We are taking telephone consultations. Make a booking and the doctor will ring you at your appointment time. This is great for simple things, like prescriptions, While we want to keep our social distances we are not leaving you in the lurch. We love to see your smiling faces in the surgery but sometimes things can be sorted out with reduced risks. Lots of free appointments on the phone. Please ring and book yours. Keep our staff and doctors busy!!

21.01.2022 Share The Dignity - Collection point at Grange Medical Centre

16.01.2022 2020 Flu Vaccines after the 1st of April. No point doing them on April Fools' Day

15.01.2022 Whoa! Wasn't that something. We normally "do" 7-800 flu vaccinations in the months before winter. Last week we managed 500 in five days for the over-65's. All done in an orderly fashion, in-and-outs in excellent managed fashion. Not touching of surfaces, little wait times. Thanks to receptionists, nurses, doctors and patients. Well done all. The sad thing is that we now have to wait until the Health Department fills our next order. Nominally this Wednesday but No one can promise a delivery.

15.01.2022 Video calls. we are up to almost 50% telephone consultations. Our waiting room looks bare and empty. Today we have set up a Skype account. (Grange Medical Centre) with a webcam. If you use Skype you can have the thrill of face-to-face video consultations. Book them the usual way by ringing .

13.01.2022 There will be a collection point at the Grange Medical Centre for Share the Dignity

11.01.2022 Okay, really trying to play by the restrictions. Keep healthy and keep isolation going. WE have so many options for non contact consultations. plenty of phone consultations. Plenty of ways of getting your scripts done and distributed. Most of our pharmacies are in the spirit and deliveries are working well. ... Don't come in unnecessarily. Talk to us about what you need. 08.01.2022 Welcome to a new doctor at the Grange. It's been so long since we had a real new doctor at The Grange so we're really excited to say hello to Dr Aung. He has just finished a rural placement and has lots of appointments available. You know when you see a new doctor you will get great unhurried attention.

06.01.2022 By now you will have heard about the Pandemic Coronavirus or COVID19. This is a new virus that can cause respiratory lung infections. It has come to Australia from overseas but the number of West Australians carrying it is still small. Some people have mild flu-like illness but older people and those with pre-existing conditions can come down with severe illness resulting in hospitalisation or even death. If you have recently travelled overseas and have either a cough or a fever ring up and ask to speak to the nurse before making an appointment to come into the surgery. Please have consideration for others who are in the surgery and will be put at risk from exposure to this virus. Testing can be done at one of the government COVID clinics and for further advice ring the Health Department of WA on 1800 020 080
