15.01.2022 Dear friends and the wider GFD family, The federal government advisory board (AHPPC) has today urged all dental practices into level 3 restrictions. This means any routine and none urgent treatment should be postponed where it is safe to do so. Therefore, the team at GFD have been going through each appointment one by one to determine if the appointment should go ahead or not.... We will be contacting all our patients who have an upcoming appointment individually to discuss this situation. But what I also want to stress is that WE WILL NOT BE TURNING AWAY ANY EMERGENCIES and we will endeavor to stay open to look after all our patient who might develop any dental problems during this time. Our phone line will always be open 24/7 and where it is not possible to bring you in, we will be able to do a "tele-dentistry" session over apps which allows face to face chat. I want to thank everyone for all their support over the years and remind everyone that WE WILL BE HERE FOR YOU.

13.01.2022 BREAKING: The lockdown ends at 6pm tonight, but some precautions will remain in Greater Brisbane for 10 days until 1am on Friday, 22 January. You must carry a... mask at all times. Masks must be worn in indoor places including shopping centres and supermarkets, gyms, places of worship, libraries, public transport, and taxis and rideshare vehicles. Masks must be worn in workplaces if social distancing isn’t possible and it’s safe to do so. You don’t need to wear a mask in private vehicles, while outdoors at a safe distance from other people or if you’re outside doing strenuous exercise. Businesses and venues can have one person per 4m indoors and one person per 2m outdoors. Smaller venues up to 200m can have one person per 2m up to a maximum of 50. You must be seated to eat and drink, and no dancing is allowed except at weddings. Gatherings are restricted to 20 people in homes and public spaces. Weddings and funerals can have up to 100 people, and dancing is allowed at weddings without restrictions. Indoor concert venues and theatres can operate at 50% capacity or one person per four square metres, whichever is greater. Outdoor stadiums can operate at 50% capacity with COVID-safe plans. 10.01.2022 GRANGE FAMILY DENTAL - CORONAVIRUS In response to the unfolding Coronavirus situation, we have decided to implement some additional procedures to ensure the continued health and safety of both our staff and patients. 1. We firstly request, if you have an appointment with us and youre feeling in the slightest unwell or feverish to get in contact with our receptionist to reschedule.... 2. If youre attending our practice at this time, we all appreciate if you could follow our cleaning guidelines prior to your arrival. - We have stationed a hand disinfectant at the front door of our practice. We ask that ALL patients please use this disinfectant prior to walking into our practice. 3. Were continuing to uphold the highest infection control in our practice. Were taking extra precautions by; - A full surgery disinfect after very patient - A full practice disinfect 3 times a day (surgery, reception and recovery room) included. 07.01.2022 Dear Friends This weeks marks the first week we are back to been able to perform proper dental examination and cleaning appointments. The federal government has endorsed a lowering of restriction down to level 2 for dentists. This means certain treatments can now be performed again under a high level of infection control protocol.... We are now able to do scaling and cleaning of teeth as long as we do not generate aerosol in the process of doing so. Hopefully this means we are one step closer to getting back to some resemblance of normality :) Stay safe everyone and hope you all had a bit of a break during this time.
