20.01.2022 It’s been a great, although busy, start to the 2020-2021 season at Grange, powering through a huge number of assessments for new and returning Grangies! Congratulations to our 9 brand new SRC’s, 11 NEW bronzies, 9 RETURNING bronzies, 7 new ART qualified members, newly certified Bronze Trainer Heather Thompson, newly qualified ART trainer Jack Wells and newly qualified IRB driver Hannah Darling. The Grange education team has also been busy getting everyone through their annua...l proficiency updates and lining up the next training squads....so when you see one of our amazing trainers, please thank and congratulate them - we cannot function without this outstanding team! The traditional christening of the boat will take place on Sunday, 17th January on the beach front of the Surf Club at 10am. 02.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of life member, Erin Hill, suddenly on Thursday 22 October at the age of 64 years. Erin joined Grange in 1969 and was a much loved member, holding a range of positions including Junior Chair, Junior Chief Instructor and Club Chief Instructor. Erin was also a highly active patrol member recording well over 900 patrol hours. Our condolences go to the entire Hill family who have had a long association with our club; in particular his wife Helen, his children Emma and Kym, and brothers Gavin and Scott. He will be remembered as a kind, patient and giving man, by the many members he mentored. Erin will be sadly missed. Funeral details will be finalised early next week.
