This year the Bash starts in Mackay on August 28th and finishes on the Gold Coast on the 6th September. 13.01.2022 Three years ago, this paddock was Giant Rats Tail Grass mixed Wire Grass and Bladii Grass. Each year, GRT seed flows from neighbouring properties into this padd...ock. The grazier made the decision to sacrifice a small portion of his property as a buffer in the interest of protecting the rest of his place. Through seeking the right advice with the right products at the right time, this paddock is now suppressing much of the original GRT population plus whatever decides to visit when it floods. Note, the greatest GRT population now exists where we struggled to gain effective knockdown originally due to the tree. Managing GRT is possible if you have a solid plan and you stick to it! Here are a few images of what we’ve been up to; From Durong, to Chinchilla, we have been targeting Brigalow regrowth with South Burnett Air Services Moura Aerial Agriculture have been from Bundaberg, to Miriam Vale, targeting Rats Tail Grass... We have targeted Brigalow regrowth in the Middlemount/Nebo Area with Central Highlands Aerial Services and the GP Helicopter has also been targeting regrowth control from Mackay to Gympie,. Its a Bloke Thing is a not for profit foundation that hosts annual fundraising and awareness events for Prostate Cancer research, care and education.
