17.01.2022 SIMMENTAL SALE | Lot 6 Yerwal Estate Profit AMOPP060 Profit is a big, free moving, athletic, loosely made, soft sire. He is clean polled with plenty of depth and carcass. He weighed 842kgs, with 131 for EMA and fats of 8 and 8 and an IMF of 4.8.

14.01.2022 A very good morning to you all from Mt Mooney this morning. Another lovely Barana Nottingham calf, out of our own Mt Mooney Marrabella. You can’t see much of her for feed but perfection is a close word to describe her.

14.01.2022 Mt Mooney will not be offering any bulls up for sale this year, 2020 at Yerwal Estate. With the extra tough season its been, we have been extra tough on our selection of bulls to offer up. The one bull we really like, (who was Senior Champion at Adelaide Royal last year), we have decide to retain for our own use. We have been super impressed with the 2019 drop and look forward to a strong line up next year. We will be taking a few heifers to Yerwal Estates Field day for display, which have some exciting and new genetics. Yerwal Estate has a great line up of bulls this year, so we hope to see you all at the Field day. Cheers, Renee

14.01.2022 Yesterday we were fortunate enough to have a farm tour from a client of ours. Last year at our first inaugural bull sale they purchased Mt Mooney Nugget. Nugget has just served 100 cows, and now, waiting for his next mob to join with. We really rated this bull, and 12 months later, we do even more!!!

12.01.2022 Just a Cow From time to time people tell me, "Lighten up, its "just a cow". Or "Thats a lot of money for "just a cow". They dont know the distance travelled, the time spent or the costs involved for "just a cow". Some of my proudest moments have come with "just a cow". Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a cow", but i did not once feel slighted. Some of my saddest moments have been brought about by "just a cow", and in those days of darkness, the gentle tou...ch of "just a cow" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day. If you too think its "just a cow", then you will probably understand phrases like "just a friend", "just a sunrise", or "just a promise". "Just a cow" brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust and pure unbridled joy. "Just a cow" brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person. Because of "just a cow", i will rise early, stay in the barn for hours and look longingly into the future. So for me, and folks like me, its not "just a cow" but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past and the pure enjoyment of the moment. "Just a cow" brings out whats good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day. I hope that someday they can understand that its not "just a cow", but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being "just a human". So the next time you hear the phrase "just a cow", just smile. . . Because they "just dont understand". -Anonymous-

11.01.2022 Loving this time of year again. First round of heifers and cows have calved down. We are super impressed with the calving ease, shape and style of these calves. Using new genetics, including Guerrero, it is a very exciting time for us.

His flush sisters both here and at Mt Mooney are some of the best we have ever bred; which makes him an exciting genetic package. His registration will be pending at the time of the sale while we wait for DNA to be processed of his dam to register her as a donor but should be processed shortly after the sale. His sire is Woonallee Los Angeles and his dam is Yerwal Estate Miss Cassie AMOPM092. He scanned 124 for EMA with fats of 7 and 7 and weighed 800kgs with a dob 23.8.2018.
