24.01.2022 It is an absolute true honour to be sharing the photographs of the 2020 Trojan Academy purple belt grading Last night was a culmination of many many years of hard training & dedication to art of Trojan Jiu Jitsu The uniqueness of each person that was promoted is the most wonderful thing to witness... To see our legion of white belts observing how we acknowledge each person as an individual was awesome. You guys now know the standard of which we are trying to achieve& their is now plenty of room at blue belt The blue belts also seeing what’s required both on a skill & personal level. You are all on your way The brown belts I could see were extremely proud of the blue belt crew levelling up & are waiting for the next brown belt to join their ranks Then I to say that I am proud of each of you would be an understatement. You are all the epitome of what Trojan Academy is all about. You have all shown determination with an unwillingness to quit. You have shown drive through hard work through out the years. Determination, being patient as Trojan Academy builds its foundation & loyalty, honour & respect. You are all, all of what is required to be promoted to Trojan Academy purple belt Trojan Academy has now come full circle & stepped into what is now a new era. We have made it through many trials & tribulations to now be standing strong as not only a team but also a community The word ‘family’ can be a catchy hashtag for social media but for us it real. We laugh, cry & cheer together. 11.01.2022 A huuuuge congratulations to Brad Lowe, head coach at BJJ Tasmania, and Adam Newton, head coach at Sorell Martial Arts Academy, on receiving their third degrees on their black belts Unfortunately I couldn’t be there in person but it’s a honor to see the Tasmania’s O.G black belt come up on his ranking. Adam Newton is an important part of the development of the sport on his state. Congrats mate, we will be together soon! Congratulations to my friend and student Bradley Lo...we for the deserved promotion to the third degree on his black belt! 2020 has being a hard year to all of us but even harder when we can’t meet our friends to have a roll and celebrate the life and the events like gradings. Brad has been doing a lot to Tasmanian Jiu-Jitsu, he is an excellent coach but even better person that who loves the Gentle Art and is a cofounder of one of the most traditional gyms on the state. As I said about Adam Newton last week, the sport would be very different in Tassie without those legends! I’m very proud to have the honour to follow your journey since your brown belt and have been grading you since then Brad! I wish I could be there with you and the team.
