23.01.2022 The 2016 Grass Hut Challenge, Campdraft and Bullride will be held from the 7th-10th of July. We hope to see you all there!

21.01.2022 Highest Scoring Lady Rider & Highest Scoring Under 25 rider was Rebecca Augustine. She received a one of a kind shirt donated by Immokalee Designs as well as a Tub of Stamanol donated by Kate Jessup. :)

21.01.2022 The Steel Supplies Charters Towers & Circle L Saddlery Novice Draft was won by none other Jack Mann & Bauhinia after a riveting final where he scored a blistering 92! Second place went to Adam Rea followed by Matt Stanger, Barry Miller, Matt Stanger, John Mather & Clint Fielder. A massive thank you to Peter & Carolyne Doonan who support our event every single year & also compete very well! We would also like to thank Hayley & Cameron for making a beautiful trophy saddle which Jack wasted no time in using right away in his next run!

21.01.2022 Highest Scoring Dry work in the Wellard Classic Challenge was Ken May & Rhondhu Double Spark. Debbie Watts also donated this lovely gear bag!

20.01.2022 Anddd, our WELLARD CLASSIC CHALLENGE WINNER was none other than Ken May riding Roll on One Moore!!!! 2nd - Nathan Wilson & Just Opal 3rd - Brett Candy & Candys Wizz Equel 4th - Matt Stanger & Princess with Chic 5th - Nathan Wilson & Crackin Dove... 6th - Peter Cook & Baddabing Baddaboon Highest Cut Out was Matt Stanger, who was also the Highest Scoring Local Rider. Ken has won a trophy buckle donated by Pam Prichard, a Trophy rug donated by We fit Rugs, a trophy vest & a service fee to Shining Sheriff.

20.01.2022 Our 2015 Grass Hut Campdraft Committee - We had a huge amount of volunteers & helpers who also were vital to such a successful weekend!!! Thanks everyone!!!! :) :)

18.01.2022 2015 Steel Supplies Charters Towers Novice Draft Winner, Jack Mann, pictured here with the Circle L Trophy Saddle as well as with judge Bindi Spreadborough who travelled up from Tamworth to judge. Once again, thank you to Peter & Carolyne Doonan for making this Novice draft such a coveted event!

18.01.2022 The Alegnim Helicopters & Contracting Juvenile Draft was won by Aaron Core, who was just stoked to have his first Juvenile win. Second place went to travelling competitor Rebecca Augustine, in third place we had Hayley Condon who also won the highest scoring cut-out, followed by Emma Condon.

18.01.2022 The Mikes Tyres Maiden Draft was won by Nathan Wilson, while Gold Sponsor, Peter Doonan followed closely in second place.We also had John Mather, Barry Miller, Riley Candy, Stuart Watts, Cattle Donor Mick Grant and Jack Mann. Highest cut out went to Stuart Watts who won a handcrafted hat rack from Alegnim Helicopters & Contracting. Nathan Wilson also won a Trophy Buckle donated by Shane & Kylie Stretton of Northern Livestock Services.

10.01.2022 We loved having Townsville Grammar School sponsor our Junior Draft. Mitchell Candy was our winner and Bree Sexton won our cut out! :) This is the future of campdrafting right here!

09.01.2022 Our Fabulous Judges who all donated their time to our event. They have all done such a great job, and it is a real honour to have these judges & talented horsemen at the Grass Hut Campdraft. Thanks to Lewis Currin for making this cool little wine/rum holders for us to give to our judges as tokens of appreciation.

08.01.2022 As we all know, campdrafts don't just happen without some help & support of many volunteers. Here is some of our non-committee members who have helped all weekend tirelessly! We thank you SO very much!

08.01.2022 We added an Encouragement Draft to our program yesterday afternoon, and had Steve Perrett from Ravenswood, who is a wonderful volunteer for the draft, donate a lovely Bridle, bit & reins for the winner which was Emma Condon!

05.01.2022 Dan Condon was our Coffee Mama Bison Draft winner, followed closely by Brett Keilar in second place and in third was Ingrid O'Neill.

02.01.2022 The Grass Hut Challenge & Campdraft proudly presents the "Schmidts Friday Night Rodeo." Friday 8th of July at Grass Hut, starting at 4pm with the Bison Draft, the Treadstone Training Cowhide Drag, The Sisbella Hair & Beauty Junior Bull Ride, the Alegnim Helicopters Novice Bull Ride and our Grass Hut Open Bull Ride! It should be an action packed night with a live band, camping, catering & a licensed bar until late.
