21.01.2022 Another week, another 2,000 trees planted as we #growgreatertogether with our communities! Today, we were at Figtree Oval on the South Coast City of Wollongong, to beautify the border of a local park and sporting fields. Our trees will provide shade, waterway protection and will result in a decreased need for mowing.

These pics are from September, 1978, when we went by a different name, and they show our 'Big G Money Tree' campaign at work. Our new customers were gifted a tree when they opened a new savings account, so they could watch it grow as their savings did!

14.01.2022 In order to say we've planted 75,000 trees, we're working with dozens of local council and Landcare NSW partners, like Port Stephens Council at last week's Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary planting. Claudia Rodwell (BNC) and Emily Martin (Souths) were the recipients of NNA's prestigious Lois and Nola Green Medal and Gaie Urqhuart Medal for 2020! Well done Claudia and Emily, and congratulations to all our Greater Bank Open Championship squads on showing true grit and sticking by each other through many upd and downs. When Kelly's Plains Public School took out our $3,000 funding in October last year, they immediately got to work on their new project - a brand new playground for their tight-knit community school. Their winnings, combined with grants from the NSW Department of Education and fundraising efforts by the local P&C meant the school was able to officially open their playground to some excited students in April! 08.01.2022 Branch Updates - Figtree and Mona Vale Our Figtree branch will remain closed today as our branch staff await negative test results for COVID-19. Our intention is to open safely as soon as possible after our staff have received their test results. Our Mona Vale branch will also be operating under reduced hours today from 9am-2pm, as a number of our staff await negative test results for COVID-19. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time - it allows us to make the safety of our staff and the communities in which we operate our top priority.

07.01.2022 Temporary branch closure Forster Due to routine pest control, our Forster Branch will be closing early today at 4:00pm. The branch will remain closed tomorrow, Saturday 27 February and will re-open on Monday 1 March at 9:00am. 06.01.2022 Who said no-one likes referees? Group 7 Referees Association have blown the whistle on our September #GreaterIllawarra voting round, scooping our $2,000 first prize. The Association will use our funding to continue training new members in order to officiate over 130 local games each weekend. Just another way we're helping the Illawarra #growgreatertogether

05.01.2022 Our Greater Bank Netballers of the Month! Each month, our Academy Netball Programs select two standout performers to be rewarded with a $50 Greater Bank Life Saver Voucher. April's superstars have now been announced - a huge congrats to these promising young athletes. Keep up the great work! Hunter Academy of Sport Netballers of the Month - April Isabella Groves - Isabella showed that she was encouraging on & off the court & implemented & always had good input when asked w...hat she was seeing from the sideline. She also made really good decisions in regards to what needed to be adjusted on the court. Charlee Belcher - Charlee was selected for her outstanding effort, taking on every challenge and implemented feedback at Academy Games! She was also named the MVP for her Div 1 team from other Academy coaches at the tournament. Western Region Academy of Sport Netballers of the Month Bronte & Mackenzie have been selected because of the hard work they have been putting into their games, and the effort that they have showed from the start of the year and at the Academy Games weekend, reflecting the commitment they have to the sport and squad.

04.01.2022 While our much-loved #JetsLEARN program was forced to connect The Newcastle Jets with their adoring school-aged fans a little differently this year, we think you can see just how much it means to both the players and the kids to connect around their love for the game. 03.01.2022 Greater Bank and Sam Poolman Aspire Netball have been setting challenges for our Academy of Sport athletes in the lead up to the tri-academy netball tournament, ‘The Greater Series’ Hunter Academy of Sport Western Region Academy of Sport Central Coast Academy of Sport. Challenge number 2 saw the groups working together to create a passing circle involving all players passing as many balls as possible without error. Continuing the theme of our 75 years of #growgreatertogether, each challenge will need to be completed in 75 seconds. Congratulations to the winners of challenge 2 - Western Region Academy of Sport!!

The program run by Sam Poolman is designed to help local netballers take their game to the next level. 02.01.2022 Temporary Branch Closure - Figtree In line with a NSW Health warning relating to COVID-19, our Figtree Greater Bank branch will be closed on Wednesday, December 30th as a precaution. This closure is so our branch staff can self-isolate until they are able to verify they've received negative test results for COVID-19. We understand that this closure may cause some inconvenience to locals, but the safety of our staff and customers remains our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and patience during this time. Locals are encouraged to take advantage of our online banking and mobile app, or visit another of our South Coast branches to do their banking. We'll continue to provide updates on when our Figtree branch can re-open as usual.
