25.01.2022 I know a cat who'd love to give this a try!

24.01.2022 For something a little different, here’s our own Miss Mili during her recent Grade 4 Trumpet Exam. Emilia’s hard work learning both in person, and online, paid off with a well deserved score of 95%, First Class Honours. And now our household can move on to new pieces too..... hooray!

24.01.2022 Don't forget your $100 Creative Kids Voucher can be used towards Term 1 fees. Claim via the service nsw website and then email a copy of your voucher to [email protected]

24.01.2022 So many certificates heading home to this family! Congratulations to Maxim, Dylan and Camden who all earned First Class Honors on their Grade 1 Theory exams. Maxim also received Honors for Grade 2 Modern Piano. Well done boys!

23.01.2022 Making music a priority.... and seeing the improvements in behaviour, resilience and learning. We need more of this!

23.01.2022 Congratulations to our students from Holy Name & Pacific Palms who earned their 30 piece challenge medals last week. Keep up the great practice over the holidays

22.01.2022 This week we're celebrating our students outstanding results in our recent ANZCA theory, piano and cornet exams. This smiling face and I have been enjoying lessons together for many years so there may have been some squeals of delight when her certificate arrived in my mail. First Class Honours (with a mark of 96!) for Grade One Piano. So proud!

22.01.2022 Lessons as normal this week! As always, we're disinfecting instruments between students and encourage all children to wash their hands before they arrive at the lesson. Please DO NOT send a sick child to their lesson. In the last two weeks I've taught children with coughs, colds, temperatures and very runny noses :( I won't attend lessons if I know I'm unwell and I'd ask that you show the same respect for myself, my family and all the other students that I see each week. We're anticipating there will be some disruption to face to face lessons in the coming weeks. Lessons will still continue each week but they may be in the form of practice packs that are emailed to parents or online lessons. Fingers crossed it won't come to that!

22.01.2022 What a week weve had at the Taree Instrumental Eisteddfod! Congratulations to all of our students who participated. I knew your performances would be fabulous.... but the way you all supported each other and behaved on Thursday blew me away! I saw a very nervous older student take the hand of a young beginner and then supported him until his performance. There was a fan club waiting to congratulate Marcus when he returned. There were high fives happening across the stage at... one point. Our youngest students even managed to contain their McDonalds sugar highs to listen respectfully to the afternoon performances! It is a privilege to play a small part in these childrens lives. Theyre destined for great things... musical and beyond! ... and apologies to my older students. I cant post your photos because theres a few other competitors in them and we need to respect their privacy. Feel free to send me any videos or photos. Id love to see them!

21.01.2022 Hoping all these smiley faces are having a lovely break! Im almost ready to tackle the timetable for 2020, so if you havent returned your registration form please do so over the weekend. 20.01.2022 3 years ago a parent enquired about lessons, saying "I think he's quite talented. He's been learning from you tube and playing our organ at home". To be honest, I cringe when I hear 'learning from you tube' and couldn't imagine any 12 year old finding an organ that inspiring And then along came Jock Sweeney! 3 years later.... and he's just earned 93.5 on his first piano exam. Grade 5, no less! He performed a boogie, a blues piece, a Chopin Waltz and a Bob Dylan classic. What an amazing gift this fabulous young man has. Congratulations Jock. So proud!!

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Perla who’s consistent practice and dedication earned her an incredible score of 97%, First Class Honours, in her Grade 5 Modern Piano exam. The examiner gave full marks for this performance and was so pleased to hear Chopin played with such conviction and sensitivity. This year I had the privilege of being in the exam room to record each performance and this was the first of many WOW moments during Perla’s exam. Very proud of you Perla - great work!

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Isabella Ragno who received another First Class Honors (94.5/100) for her Grade 2 Piano Exam. She holds the record for FCH in prelim, grade 1 and grade 2 theory PLUS grade 1 and 2 practical. Huge Achievement Isabella. Well done!!

20.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing all our little musicians next week!

A big welcome to all our new students joining us this term. Don't forget to send through your Creative Kids Voucher and we'll apply it to your fees!

16.01.2022 We may have been quiet on Facebook this term..... but theres been plenty going on in the schools and studio! Theres been fun and games, lots of exam preparation and a new piano thats got all the afternoon students excited! Stay tuned for more videos in coming weeks....

15.01.2022 Finally some good news! After 11 weeks of online lessons (and another 3 to go) we're finally allowed to take our lessons back into the public schools next term. Hooray! Hopefully a decision from the Catholic schools won't be too far away either. The online lessons have been a huge success but we're all ready to get back to 'normal' lessons. I certainly won't miss saying "hold your book up. A little lower. Too Low. step back...is that pen?.... why did you use pen?...."

15.01.2022 It's (finally) exam week! This hard working pianist is putting the finishing touches on Daniel McFarlane's 'Sneak Attack' for his ANZCA preliminary exam. This is always a favourite with primary school boys.... I'm not sure why?
