05.01.2022 We're in a time of "physical distancing" not "social distancing". Please stay socially connected to your dear ones, your teams at work, any other people important to you, and strangers in the supermarket. Smile at people, be respectful and kind to each other. We CAN stay socially connected and it's incredibly important that we do so. There is so much unknowing right now, but this is something you KNOW how to do & so many of you do it really, really well. You might need to do ...your social connecting differently than you've ever done it before - but hey, get creative! My biggest concern in this current situation is that we're seeing other human beings as threats - dangerous to be around - and unless you're very aware of this and can override this instinctive primitive response to the fear being generated every day by the media, the residue of that will remain with you as part of your operating system. That is not a good basis for our world. So keep your physical distance and hold your social connection with others. In fact do more of it!! We're all in this together and we will get through it. #sociallyconnected Chelle McQuaid See more

03.01.2022 Sometimes life throws you a curveball; something that knocks you for six, that makes you wonder whether life will ever be the same again It might be work-related or in your personal life, but a traumatic event can make you feel defeated, or rejected or helpless or completely shattered or a whole range of other things... like you’re riding a roller coaster of emotions and you can’t get off. Research has found that US Army Soldiers who have experienced particularly awful situa...tions could experience what’s called Post-Traumatic Growth. If you follow the same 5 steps, you can learn to become more resilient too. For more practical ways to Build Resilience as a Leader, you can view the full-length lesson in our Great Managers MasterClass. For a limited time, you can subscribe to our MasterClass for free.
