21.01.2022 Please note that in honour of the 100 year anniversary of his falling asleep, tomorrow night at 6:00pm the Holy Monastery of St Nectarios has a Paraklesis service to St Nectarios, followed by a talk by His Grace Bishop Silouan about St Nectarios.

11.01.2022 To our beloved clients, staff and volunteers, We pray you are well and keeping safe. As you would have heard, SA is going into a 6 day strict shutdown from midnight tonight. ... The Centre will continue to offer essential services to those who need them - in particular, our Meals and Personal Care services will continue. All our workers will wear masks and follow the necessary hygiene procedures. Our phones will be answered and any messages left responded to at the earliest convenience. Please stay safe and let's pray we can make this shutdown a quick one.

11.01.2022 The Greek Welfare Centre is excited to announce the first meeting of the Dementia Advisory Group. Please see flyer for more information.

09.01.2022 To our beloved staff, volunteers and clients, We pray that you are all well and enjoying a short break. The good news is that it seems our short break is going to be even shorter - the Police Commissioner just announced that the 6-day strict lockdown will be ending early at 11:59pm on Saturday evening. So Church will be back on this Sunday.... We will make another announcement a bit later with how this will affect the GWC services. Meals will continue as per normal (as they have been). Let us thank God for His mercy.

06.01.2022 Breaking news: new COVID restrictions from midnight tonight. In particular: * we are now back to 1 per 4 square metres rather than 1 per 2 square metres. * No community sport/training - this will affect the Centre's exercise groups.

02.01.2022 Services resuming from Monday. Dear all, we pray you are well. A quick follow-up on our last post: All GWC in-home services will officially resume from Monday 23rd of November as per normal. While we are still in the milder restrictions, our workers will be wearing protective equipment where appropriate as a precaution.... Our office will also re-open on Monday. Please don't hesitate to call us at the office number (which is still being attended to during the lockdown) if you have any questions or concerns.
