17.01.2022 What an amazing weekend here in Darwin with all my greek friends at The Greek Festival. Congratulations to the Greek Community of Darwin and The Kalymnian Brot...herhood of Darwin for hosting this very special event! Nikolaos Poniris, Jim Hatzivalsamis, Rossi Kourounis and Evan thank you for the warm hospitality and for all you do to ensure the greek culture remains prominent in The Northern Territory. Hopefully the world will be back to normal soon and I’ll see you at GleNTi in June next year. Opa JL

15.01.2022 **WHAT A MASSIVE WEEKEND!!** ONE GREEK FESTIVAL - 4 Opa Performances & add A GREEK WEDDING too.... What Covid-19 Lockdown ?? Congratulations to the Greek Com...munity of NT (GOCNA), the Kalymnian Brotherhood and all the other local community groups, dance groups, bands, MC’s (Evan, Jim & Yianni) & volunteers for putting on a fabulous event. Thanks to NT Government, NT NEWS, MIX 104.9 Radio Station, Rythmos Greek Digital Radio, for supporting this event too. The setup at The Agion Panteleimon - Greek Festival @ Kalymniko (the FIRST MultiCultural event since the Covid-19 lockdown) was just simply amazing . Hopefully this Festival continues to happen to this big scale annually. Also a big thank you to the organisers for allowing our dance school the OPAtunity to fundraise (this was the first time we fundraised at a community event). All funds raised will go towards our students for upcoming events & costumes. Thanks to everyone who supported us too. And special thanks to my wife Gella who is the backbone of Opa. A bigger thank you goes out to all our students & parents who came and gave up their time & supported our dance school again. Even though a lot of our students were away (camping, fishing, weddings etc..) when we performed the stage was full! All our students danced fantastic and it’s obvious all our hard work is certainly paying off. Unlike others WE choose to do our talking on the dance floor! Thanks for everyone’s best wishes and kind words . I would also like to congratulate the newlyweds Peter & Niki Roditis for choosing me to Dj & MC your wedding. I hope that I ticked all the boxes. The dance floor and the night was FULL of KEFI!! Wishing you both a life time of happiness & good health. Dance classes at Opa will continue as normal every Thursdays @ the Greek school hall - Chapman Rd, Rapid Creek. New students welcome. Juniors - 5.00pm Interm - 5.45pm Adv.Intm - 6.30pm Seniors - 7.30pm We are fundraising with a Sausage Sizzle this Sunday 2nd August @ Bunnings (Bagot Rd). If anyone would like to donate (sausages, sauces, bread, onions or drinks) please let us know. Thanks in advance. Our next performance for all our dance groups will at Cyprian Festival, date to TBC. Thank you
