19.01.2022 Today we received very sad news of the sudden passing of Bernard Savage. Bernard had been a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the RFSQ and Captain of Jimboomba Auxiliary for the past 30 years. Our sincere condolences to Bernard’s Family.... Rest In Peace our friend.

09.01.2022 The logan fire ban has now been lifted but the conditions at Greenbank are still dry with wind gust. It is not recommend to be burning at this stage. Fore from the day before or fire not managed correctly will escape and be fast moving causing damage. Please be safe as we enter fire season

05.01.2022 Let's get our trampolines tied down folks. Its about to get windy Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Southeast Queensland for DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAILSTONES and HEAVY RAINFALL... For people in parts of Somerset, Southern Downs, South Burnett, Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley Council Areas. Issued at 12:54 pm Tuesday, 27 October 2020. The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 12:50 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near the area east of Dalby, Bowenville and the area west of Toowoomba. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east to southeast. They are forecast to affect the area west of Kingaroy, Pittsworth and Jondaryan by 1:20 pm and Toowoomba, the area northwest of Toowoomba and the area south of Kingaroy by 1:50 pm. Damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding are likely. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should: * Move your car under cover or away from trees. * Secure loose outdoor items. * Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it. * Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees. * Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm. * Beware of fallen trees and powerlines. * For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
