24.01.2022 The rain hampered our big weeding effort yesterday but the time in the garden was joyful. Such a great day to reconnect with our team and salvage some tiny corn cobs. We also welcomed some grandparent lady beetles to live out the rest of their lives in our gardens thanks to Frankie from Bugs for Bugs. Our pesto pasta lunch was perfect too!

16.01.2022 Tomorrow will be the final day of the Green Care Program. We will have our last lunch together with participants and volunteers and reflect on what an incredible two years this has been. I am struggling to share my feelings about the conclusion of the best job in the world. So I will leave it up to Dr Seuss.

13.01.2022 Would anyone like to come and collect some seeds today? We have a very prolific cinnamon basil, silverbeet, parsley, fenugreek, coriander, marigold and some sunflower seeds. It will be a pick your own job, but there’s plenty here if you come down to Green Care before 4pm today.

01.01.2022 All hands on deck tomorrow! Out with the old (corn, sunflowers, apple cucumbers) to get ready for the new (Armenian cucumbers, colourful corn, okra and more greens). Tacos for lunch too!

01.01.2022 They are back! Despite mistaking them for weeds and removing loads last year , our gorgeous dahlias have returned to welcome you as walk up our front steps. Personally, I’m in love with taking their photos each year.
