16.01.2022 The very first water quality method in Australia is now publicly available! GreenCollar is excited to announce the first Reef Credit method for Nitrogen Use Efficiency ‘Accounting Reduction in Nutrient Run-off through Managed Fertiliser Application’ has been approved after a rigorous peer review process and is now publicly available on the Reef Credit website. It quantifies the reduction of Dissolved Inorganic Nitrogen (DIN) lost from agricultural land through improved soil... and nutrient management practices. Projects under this method, will allow landholders to earn verified water quality credits as well as have a tangible and quantifiable impact on the health of the Great Barrier Reef. We are working with the Reef Credit administrator, Ecomarket Australia, to commence formal registration of projects and to be issued Australia’s first Reef Credits. Stay tuned! Learn more about Reef Credits here: https://greencollar.com.au/reef-credits/ and https://www.reefcredit.org Contact Tristan Robertson, our Queensland Business Manager on 0422 273 577 or at [email protected] if you’re in the reef catchment zone and interested in participating in the Scheme.

09.01.2022 GreenCollar has been built around valuing the importance of the environment. We strive to find better solutions so that everybody can get involved in creating a sustainable future. On World Environment Day we are celebrating the growing movement of carbon based initiatives.... GreenCollar has been developing terrestrial carbon projects around Australia for over 10 years. This year we have announced new ‘Reef Credits’ which directly helps the Great Barrier Reef by reducing sediment flow, nitrogen runoff, and improving water quality throughout the reef catchment. Here at GreenCollar we believe that the best way to achieve lasting environmental benefits is to place value on the environment and allow markets to provide incentives and repayment for sustainable practice and repair.
