07.01.2022 Being a mother is one of life’s greatest achievements, and we passionately believe that being a vet is the next greatest! In honour of Mother’s Day tomorrow, some of the best new mums and vets tell us what it’s like to navigate the two. Dr. Jessica (Regional Clinical Director and Hugo's Mum) - ... "I think being a vet has helped prepare me for motherhood - late nights, no lunch breaks, being pooped on, and being constantly stressed about what they just put in their mouth! I’m so lucky to have been able to experience both." Dr. Ashlinn (Vet Director & Amelia's Mum) - "I love it! [motherhood] It’s better than I had imagined. Everyday there is a new surprise, a new development, an exciting milestone or a new challenge. Dr. Patricia (Emergency & Critical Care Specialist Animal Referral Hospital & Scarlett's Mum plus pregnant with twins.) "I would have to say being a vet is harder. [than being a mum] I may, however, feel differently when I have three teenage daughters!

07.01.2022 Some of our staff have recently welcomed some new furry family members into their homes and we're so excited to share them with you Nurse Brodie has recently welcomed Reuben the German Shorthaired Pointer or GSP for short. Reuben is currently enrolled with our amazing puppy trainer Denzie at our Fairy Meadow clinic where he is learning basic obedience skills and working week after week on his socialisation with the other puppies in the group. Brodie describes Reuben as hyp...er, clumsy, and bitey but as we all know, bitey is very normal for puppies but she is working on this every day with him so he doesn't grow up thinking that mouthing is a friendly thing to do to his human friends. When Reuben isn't busy learning new tricks or visiting all his friends at the clinic he can be found doing zoomies around his yard at home, playing tug of war with his rope toy, or digging in his sandpit. Congratulations Brodie, we are all in love with Reuben already
