24.01.2022 Ok If you are thinking for your home 1.solar power 2.Hot water 3.Heating ... Have a chat with Green Earth Electrical first They are in Nth Geelong on Separation st I was all prepared to enlarge our solar capacity adding a battery spending around 11-14 k get it back over 7 yrs. We currently run 3.5 kw That’s plenty to charge batteries. No point in selling it back to grid 11cents kw hr. Up shot Put in two battery’s $2200@ Plus a gizmo to analyse usage so around 5k all up. They also told me because we have older style solar panels they only have one inverter So Any shadow across any panel and they stop producing power! So peppercorn tree will get a prune! Newer panels can have mini inverters on each one, so they don’t drop off producing. Also they picked up our usage high at night yet we have evacuated tube solar hot water. Our pump was disconnected that pushes water through tubes. Viola!less power used. Power cor have a graph app for every household so you can see when you use power the most. Rather than sell power back at a low rate we will now store it and use it at night reducing our bill from roughly $1600 a year to $100-200 depending on weather. See more
