23.01.2022 Hello everyone, I hope this email finds you all health and happy. On 8th May, Premier Mark McGowan announced a plan to adjust restrictions imposed on our communities due to Covid-19.... The directive states that as of Monday, May 18 Indoor and outdoor non-work gatherings lifted to 20 people. Places of worship, community facilities and libraries to re-open, limited to 20 patrons; Community sports (non-contact) limited to 20 people; Outdoor or indoor fitness classes (minimal shared equipment) limited to 20 participants; people are encouraged to return to work, unless they are unwell or vulnerable; cafs and restaurants can reopen with meal service (including within pubs, bars, clubs, hotels and casino), limited to 20 patrons and the four square metre rule applied; weddings and funerals, limited to up to 20 attendees (30 for outdoor); public swimming pools can open under strict rules (one indoor pool and one outdoor pool), limited to 20 patrons per pool. This is great news, as it has been lonely without you . If you are planning on returning to the Centre from the 18th May, can you please email and confirm days of the week and times. Im asking that you email me because I am still not in the office every day, but do have daily remote access to my emails and the Centres reservation system or use Messenger. Each individual group WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the number of people in attendance (CAN NOT EXCEED 20) and arrangements for personal protective measures for each group, ie, masks and hand sanitiser (if needed) and the set up of each meeting space will be the responsibility of each group (responsible social distancing). We will provide cleaning sprays to wipe down furniture and surfaces before/after each session. The Centre will be thoroughly cleaned 3 times a week, with special attention to door handles, light switches and kitchen / bathroom surfaces. If we all do our bit, we should be able to transition into a fully operational Centre and community, with no restrictions as soon as possible. The Government will be setting a mandatory safety plan for community spaces that plan on reopening, this is yet to be released but I will keep you posted and send each group our specific plan as it comes to hand. Looking forward to seeing you all again and welcoming you back. JENNI

17.01.2022 Were asking Western Australians to cancel their travel plans this Easter, even if they dont involve leaving their region. And just to be clear, WAs campsites... are now closed - your camping trip is just going to have to wait. Please, stay home this weekend. But that doesnt mean that we cant make the Easter long weekend special, especially for our youngest West Aussies. Theres no rule against setting up a tent in your own backyard, or treating your own house like a holiday house for a couple of days. And while you might not be able to travel for a holiday with your extended family or friends, were lucky that in 2020 they are just a quick video-chat away. Our annual traditions might be on hold for a year, but that doesnt mean we cant start some new ones to make this Easter special. So please, stay home this Easter long weekend.

17.01.2022 NEW SUPPORT MEETING COMMENCING 2ND SEPTEMBER 2020. Please feel free to share to anyone who may be interested.

10.01.2022 The last few weeks have been nothing like we have experienced before, and I know everyone is eager to have some certainty for the coming few months and beyond. ...Today, I can provide details for parents and teachers with regards to the start of Term 2 at WA public schools. The medical advice regarding schools remains clear the risks of COVID-19 transmission at schools is very low. So we have come up with an approach thats consistent with the best health advice at hand for WA. Term Two will start back on Wednesday April 29, the Wednesday after the ANZAC Day long weekend. WA public schools will then be open for all parents and carers who choose to send their children. But for anyone who does not want their children to attend school in person, they can continue learning from home. However, Year 11 and 12 students are strongly encouraged to attend in person given the critical stage they are at in their schooling. For those learning from home, education packages and resources will be provided, as well as online resources where possible. This soft opening is about transitioning students back into our classrooms in a responsible manner, to receive the best education, without risking the health of students, staff or parents. Where schools can provide online support and teaching for students at home, this will be implemented. For those students learning from home, contact by the school will be made each week by phone and/or online and feedback given on work package completion. Parents and carers of children and young people with complex medical needs are encouraged to seek medical advice regarding attendance at school. With regard to safety, schools will implement the following: alternative arrangements as required for vulnerable employees; increased cleaning throughout the day, including high touch surfaces and playground equipment; parents and visitors will drop students at the gate and not enter grounds; additional hygiene measures and social distancing measures; school swimming pools will remain closed; excursions, assemblies, camps and interschool activities will not be conducted; canteens will provide take away services only. Schools can also implement staggered start, break and meal times to reduce contact and close, or practise social distancing in, common areas and staff rooms. Additionally, schools will be able to combine year groups and use alternative locations within the school boundaries to deliver classes. There will be a review of these arrangements in the lead up to week 4 and any adjustments will be made based on health advice and infection trends across the community. Schools will maintain good communication with parents providing up to date information about arrangements. If there are any localised positive COVID-19 cases in schools, the existing health protocols will apply. This includes closing and deep cleaning of the school. The school will reopen once this has occurred and quarantine and self-isolation protocols will be implemented for any close contacts identified through Health Department contact tracing. I want to thank everyone for their patience and hard work over the past few weeks - especially our educators, who have been working so hard to get us ready for term two with the flexibility were going to need.

04.01.2022 Western Australia has done an incredible job and we thank the WA community for doing their part and taking COVID-19 seriously. WAs recent low numbers have been... very encouraging. They give us the best chance to minimise community spread of the virus, if everyone continues to act responsibly and follow the advice. As of tomorrow, health advice is that we can now cautiously relax the number for indoor and outdoor gatherings to a maximum of 10 people, while practising social distancing. The following activities can now recommence, while following the health advice: Hiking, camping, boating, recreational fishing and picnics within your region Weddings Outdoor personal training (no sharing equipment) Open houses and display home villages Playgrounds, skate parks and outdoor gym equipment will remain closed. Restaurants, cafs, food vans, food courts and road houses remain restricted to takeaway and home delivery. All other restrictions will remain in place for now, in a bid to manage social distancing and better protect Western Australians. Todays announcement does not mean that people can have parties with large numbers or flock to popular outdoor spots. Were relaxing some restrictions to ensure families and friends can stay connected. While WAs current low numbers are pleasing, we need to be aware that transmission of the virus is a very high risk and there is no reason to be complacent. The best way to keep yourself and others safe remains to practise social distancing and at stay home other than for essential activities and connecting with others to maintain your mental health. Its important that people continue to avoid unnecessary touching like hugs and handshakes, try to keep 1.5m away from others, and maintain good hygiene and handwashing. Police will continue to ensure compliance with all COVID-19 restrictions. If you suspect someone is breaching gathering restrictions, a requirement to self-isolate, or a business is not complying with restrictions, contact WA Police on 131 444. For more COVID-19 information visit https://www.wa.gov.au//covid-19-coronavirus-community-advi
