This lady wanted to help more local businesses whilst donating through our business. With this incredible donation, we purchased a take away meal from Cafe Corryong Brew for a local family. This meal was delivered last night. ... We also have credited Corryong Hotel Motel-Bottom Pub’s account with the remaining funds. The donor thought these guys have had a rough start to business, and wanted to let them know she’s backing them. This amazing lady has donated $2300 to our business in 2020. Firstly through our bushfire campaign and then a couple of other times throughout the year. We have passed every bit of this money and more back to our customers. Our community is so fortunate to have such caring people in it.

07.01.2022 Our year in review 2020 was a year like no other. Ours started surrounded by bushfire- many of our customers, friends and family completely burnt out, losing houses, livestock, fencing and property. ... With no power and limited communications, we opened our doors to the community on 2nd of January, just 2 days after the bushfire swept through. Our community needed us. Mid January seen us run the ‘Pay it Forward’ campaign- a way that Australia and other people around the world could directly help those in need. We rallied our troops and delivered more than $11,000 in produce to those who needed it most- the ones who had lost so much and had been working so hard for what would turn into months on end. Then came COVID-19. Again, we had to think out of the box. With our COVID-Safe plan in tow, we started delivery runs to Thowgla, Biggara, Cudgewa, Tintaldra, Towong, Khancoban and everywhere in between. Just when we thought it was over- it happened again! We reinstated the delivery service, and our community was thankful. During the lock down periods, we decided to give our shop a bit of a facelift- with a fresh paint on the floor, new price tags and stickers. Plans are underway for interior and exterior paint as well. More recently, we have commenced our delivery service to Colac Colac Caravan Park and Khancoban Lakeside Caravan Park for the summer period, supplying their campers with access to fresh fruit and vegetables. We’re lucky enough to have many businesses source their produce through us for their business. It’s a pleasure to work together and support one another. We believe that the Corryong community have seen the benefits of shopping local- it’s the local businesses that were here consistently through bushfires and lockdowns. Without the small local businesses, we would have been in a real spot of bother! Your support allows us to give back to the community- by sponsorship, donations and employment. We wish to thank you all for your kindness and support throughout 2020. Our business wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for you guys. From our family, to yours, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
