25.01.2022 Today the Nursery children helped make "Cloud Dough". They all took turns to help squeeze out the shampoo and mix the dough together. This activity encouraged the children to use their fine motor skills when using the different utensils and cookie cutters, and also promotes their sensory development by feeling the smooth texture of the dough.



25.01.2022 ITS OUR 1ST BIRTHDAY, and yes there will be CAKE!!!! To celebrate today we will be having a sausage sizzle, lucky door prizes, and photo area, and definitely cake!

19.01.2022 Yesterday the children in the nursery had fun building and connecting a variety of different blocks. They were able to use their fine motor skills to hold the various shapes and connect them together. They also developed their cognitive development skills further through this activity

This afternoon as part of their afternoon tea snack the children will be having homemade berry ice blocks. Elliana in Kindy said to Chef Deb Your the best Deb in the world. She sure is Elliana! 14.01.2022 The Toddler children helped to wash and dry their baby dolls. This activity helps improve their social skills whilst also learning about responsibility and compassion when it comes to caring for their babies.

13.01.2022 The Toddler children asked to learn more about brushing their teeth. They were given a mouth mannequin along with different types of toothbrushes and cleaners and were asked to demonstrate how they think they should brush their teeth. This was a great learning experience for the children as they were able to discuss the importance of having a healthy clean mouth

07.01.2022 The Toddler children participated in a Culinary Class with Chef Deb today. They used their fine motor skills to grip the utensils and made delicious oat, fruit and yoghurt cups. Yum!

07.01.2022 This year due to COVID-19 we are unable to have a Whole Centre Christmas party instead we will instead be holding a Christmas Week for the children, full of activities, games and fun. Santa might even stop by!! A celebration agenda will be announced shortly :)

07.01.2022 The twelve fundamental movement skills are: balancing, running, jumping, catching, hopping, throwing, galloping, skipping, leaping and kicking. Studies show that if children develop these skills in the early years, they are more likely to have an active lifestyle as an adult. Today our Toddler children practised throwing and catching a ball through a hanging hoop. This experience also strengthens childrens stability skills such as balance, twisting, turning and bending.

They used their fine motor skills to grip the child-safe knives and used their hand and eye co-ordination to chop up the vegetables. Chef Deb then roasted the cut-up vegetables for the Toddlers to have with their lunch today. Yum Yum
