23.01.2022 Day for Daniel Held annually on the last Friday of October, Day for Daniel honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe. The theme is Wear Red, Educate and Donate. Parents, carers, and educators are encouraged to start a conversation with children and young people about personal safety. We had the local Kawana police officers call in with their police van flashing lights and sirens The children were all so excited to see the officers and hear their safety messages.. ... https://danielmorcombe.com.au/day-for-daniel/

21.01.2022 S.E.N.S.O.R.Y play Sensory play is an interactive hands-on fun experience for children, as they explore and discover more about the world through their senses! Sensory activities can also calm a child, help a child to focus, and engage a child.
21.01.2022 Look at Pre-Kindy's beautiful Christmas display! The children have been really enjoying participating in creating this wonderful exhibition, showing lots of energy and enthusiasm. It has created an excited buzz within the room which the children are well aware of what's coming soon! Thank you to Jack C's Mum, who kindly donated the real logs for the fireplace. And a big thank you to Frankie T's Mum, who donated a beautiful Santa Sack! It looks amazing!

19.01.2022 Reduce-Reuse-Recycle Recycling is an important activity both at home and at childcare. It shows children how we can save resources and reduce our impact on the environment. By reusing what we already have, we’re leaving more resources behind for a sustainable future. Working together to create a more sustainable environment for the future
19.01.2022 ALLIE! That is the name of our little furry friend who is Oceanside's mascot. Allie Girl - AKA Tasha's puppy dog - came in for a visit yesterday. Our little people's faces were absolutely priceless when she would walk by. It was adorable! (Don't worry - we all practised our health and hygiene skills by washing our hands after her visit!)
19.01.2022 October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and an important time for NBCF to highlight why research in this area is so crucial. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with 8 people losing their lives to the disease every day. The only way to stop deaths from breast cancer is by funding research to improve our understanding of how breast cancer originates, grows and spreads so that we can stop it in its tracks.

08.01.2022 This Monday is a public holiday for Labour Day. Does anyone know why we have labour day? Labour Day is an annual public holiday that celebrates the eight-hour working day, a victory for workers in the mid-late 19th century. The argument for the eight-hour day was based on the need for each person to have eight hours of labour, eight hours of recreation and eight hours of rest. Enjoy!
07.01.2022 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Toys in every store But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be On your own front door

04.01.2022 Yesterday, Aidens Mum Elsa, came in to talk about the country she was born in America. Kindergarten has been embedding appreciation of other countries into the curriculum. Elsa spoke about her experiences living in Utah and Florida. She discussed the Indigenous American people and some of their traditions. They viewed a PowerPoint that she had kindly prepared on American Songs, Environments, Foods, Landmarks and Traditions. They capped off the wonderful session with a culinary lesson from Chef Alex American Style Hotdogs (which is in another post). Thank you so much to Elsa!
