24.01.2022 Bridge Pose is a calming yoga pose for children, that helps to reduce stress, and stretches the chest, neck, and back. It also builds leg and back strength. Step 1 Lay down on your back. Rest your arms on the floor, alongside your body.... Step 2 Bend your knees, and set your feet flat on the floor. Step 3 Lift your hips towards the ceiling. Step 4 Hold this pose for a few breaths. 22.01.2022 Our Pre Kindy children are working on their Christmas projects. Today's activity involved a stencil, brown paper and lots of red and green paint. Can you guess what we were creating? A creative learning environment helps improve attention, reduce anxiety, and supports emotional and behavioural regulation of Children. When educators foster a positive learning culture; learners are more likely to acquire higher motivation that leads to wonderful learning outcomes.

21.01.2022 Our children were offered an experience of using cotton buds dipped in paint to create art on tree bark. Painting is a wonderful and simple way to help develop a child’s fine motor skills. The fine ‘pinch’ grip required to hold the small q-tip in place and to move it around the paper to paint is ideal for building on those smaller muscles of the hand.

21.01.2022 Today we had our first Dance class with Tiaani. When a child dances, they learn about how their body can move. ... Dancing uses different muscles than simply standing and walking around does, which strengthens them. Through dance, children learn to coordinate and control their bodies and the movement helps them develop spatial awareness. Plus Tiaani can tailor all our classes to suit children's interest...

11.01.2022 Our Tiny tots have been busy creating paper mache, masterpieces! One of the many benefits of paper Mache is that it is an excellent way to reduce, reuse and recycle. The children have been using old newspaper, donated by our local newsagents to create their masterpieces.

I started smiling too I walked around the corner And someone saw me grin When he smiled I realised I had passed it on to him I thought about the smile And then realised its worth A single smile like mine Could travel round the earth So if you feel a smile begin Don’t leave it undetected Start an epidemic And get the world infected.

07.01.2022 Miss Rochelle set two tubs with bicarbonate of soda in them, on the table. She then poured vinegar into two cups and added food colouring to the vinegar. The children came to see what what was happening. Rochelle explained what was in the tubs and cups. She demonstrated how to use the pipettes to suck up the liquid. What do you think will happen when I squirt the vinegar onto the bicarb Rochelle asked. Harper said it’ll change colour Layla said it’ll get wet Paige said ...it’ll go red . The other children gathered around to observe what was happening. Miss Rochelle slowly squeezed the liquid out and the children gasped and exclaimed LOOK. This kind of play provokes children to use critical thinking skills. It also encourages children to contribute to group discussions and work collaboratively with their peers to discuss ideas on what they think will occur.
