25.01.2022 Increasing numbers of DER on the grid are challenging utilities to rethink their planning processes - from linear to more democratised. What could a new distribution planning model look like? And which principles should underpin it? Smart Electric Power Alliance has some compelling ideas. https://hubs.ly/H0m_jvG0
23.01.2022 Renewables will be our primary source of energy by 2042. This summer weve seen the grid struggling with heat and fires, aging coal and limited options to manage the system, according to the Energy Security Board (ESB). Were not alone though; other parts of the world are addressing the same issues and getting on with the #energytransition #renewables https://hubs.ly/H0n8Krf0

20.01.2022 By 2040, can a power generation mix thats dominated by renewables really deliver reliable, affordable electricity, as well as increase Australias economic welfare? The analysts at PwC Australia modelled four scenarios and came to a clear conclusion: https://hubs.ly/H0n3kQr0
19.01.2022 For our international friends, this provides a good snapshot of why grid security, over grid reliability, is the critical issue for Australia to solve in the context of high-penetration rooftop solar. Also, it shows the place for new tech and software that can allow contracting of multiple services from DER to ensure security while keeping customer access preserved. #energytransition https://hubs.ly/H0nbSt90
19.01.2022 Great to see Monash University and @AEMOenergy joining forces to launch a new PhD program focusing on Australias energy markets. 19.01.2022 Its week one down and our whole team is settling into remote working life. A big shout out to our brilliant tech and office team who responded so quickly on Monday when the decision was made and have worked so hard to seamlessly transition all staff, without so much as a dip in productivity. Staying connected is important, especially during these unprecedented times, so its been great to see GreenSync'ers finding creative ways to be social, for example, meeting in our brand...-new virtual kitchen for a lunchtime chat, comparing WFH desk setups and lunch recipes (there may have been prizes involved), and even our pets antics. We feel very fortunate to have such an amazing team and this has only been amplified over the last week. #COVID-19 #SocialDistancing #remotework
