16.01.2022 Dear families, We are working on options for transition over the coming weeks for all enrolled children. Please hold tight as we develop a plan to have all future students spend time with us at the school. Currently Sam and I are the only teachers at school and having future teachers onsite is not recommended as we will be mixing work places. We are working on ways to meet all of your needs but as we all know this is not a normal year and not a normal way to be establishing ...a new school. Rest assured we will do as much as we can to make all new students feel comfortable about their new school. We are also working on a virtual tour which we hope to share with you in the next couple of days. To families who have not returned their enrolment forms yet we ask that you get them to us as soon as possible as we can only recruit staff according to the enrolments we have received. We are accepting forms between 9am and 3:30pm every day onsite, so drop in and say hi with your mask on. Or call us on 7379 5100 We can not wait to meet you all. Loren , Bec and Sam.

Along with a throng of media we toured our beautiful inclusive facilities. The Deputy Preimer held the daily press conference from our library and announced almost $1.6 billion in funding to support inclusive education across Victoria. It was a pleasure to host everyone and celebrate our inclusive school with the wider community.

03.01.2022 Introducing our newest staff member Shannon Devlin. Welcome to the team Hello Everyone, I am thrilled to introduce myself to you as a 2021 teacher at Keelonith Primary School. ... I began my career working as an Occupational Therapist, before returning to university study a Masters of Teaching. I have been a primary teacher for the past 6 years and have had the privilege of taking on a number of roles, including teaching multiple year levels in the Classroom as well Physical Education and Music/Performing Arts. Outside of school (when not in lockdown) I can be found playing at the park with my rescue kelpie Sam, curled up with a good book or swimming laps at the local pool. I am passionate about Keelonith’s inclusive philosophy, ‘learning without limits’ and cannot wait to work with the school community to support and create opportunities for students to achieve personal growth and success along their unique learning journey. I am looking forward to meeting all of the families and students, and together launching into 2021 . Shannon Devlin. See more

Next year will be my third year as a Classroom Teacher. I started my teaching journey as a year 5/6 teacher in 2019. This year, I had the pleasure of teaching a vibrant class of year 3/4 students. I look forward to teaching and expanding my professional practice in a new and inclusive school environment. Outside school hours, you will find me trying to find the best local ice-cream, listening to music, traveling around the globe (staying positive that it will be sooner rather than later) and participating and teaching in weekly Pilates classes. I look forward to welcoming all parents, students and teachers as we begin this exciting new chapter in 2021! Mitchell Leyton
