11.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE - GOLF AT TGBC Today in support of social distancing the Board of Directors made the decision to cease all competitions and organized events... at the Tocumwal Golf and Bowls Club. With the escalation of COVID-19 and pressure being applied by government to stay home, the board decided it is necessary that the Club does not promote what are considered non-essential outings. Saturday 28 March 2020 Golf arrangements: You may leave your competition bookings on the time sheet and play socially if you choose to do so. The Pro Shop will be manned from the Tournament Window ONLY from 8.00am 1pm tomorrow prior to shutting. At this point in time, social golf can be played, but you must follow the guidelines for social distancing below: o Wash hands regularly o Avoid touching your face o Stay home if you are showing signs of temperature or cough o Must remain 1.5 metres apart o No more than 5 in any area at one time o One person to a cart at all times We want to avoid locking the course. There will be no bookings from Saturday 28th March 2020. The Board has approved to reset the course into maintenance mode. Once this dreadful virus is deemed to be under control and the green light is given to re-open venues and allow normal social behaviour, it is envisaged the high standard of our course will be quickly adapted back to its current state. From Monday 30 March 2020, all flag sticks and tee markers will be removed from both courses. Pin locations will be positioned as near as possible to the centre of the green. Please take care of yourselves, family, friends and neighbours. We thank you again for understanding & support, we are just as excited to re-open our doors when it is safe, as you are.
