25.01.2022 FB version. For our eighteenth tribute to the super group Chicago, we travel back to where it all started. Chicago Transit Authority, the band’s name until 1970..., released their self- titled debut album in 1969 which is also referred to as CTA. The album was an immediate success reaching #17 in the United States and remained on the charts for a record 171 weeks. It would eventually be certified double platinum. The track we present to you today was written and sung by Robert Lamm and produced by James William Guercio. This, the second single released from this album was re-released in June of 1971 where it rose to number seven on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and number one on the U.S. Easy Listening chart. In our tribute to this classic, our friend Sergey Kashirin sings lead vocal and we asked special guest Daniil Dubrovsky (alto-sax) and L&F veteran Alexander Michurin (trombone) to join us as well. 25.01.2022 JUNIOR BAND IS BACK! With a twist. Rehearsals have shifted to Thursday afternoons at Griffith East Public School. Warm-up starts at 3.30pm, in the Hall. Entry via the school office (off Wakaden St). Non-GEPS students will need to sign in every week at the school office. ... If you’ve been missing making music, sign up on Spond and come along! If you’re a Junior who wants to see how and what the Seniors play, then come along!
