06.01.2022 Just over a year ago we hooked up with Honeybrix BBQ Charcoal. Absolutely stoked with the product and the people behind it. I am privileged to test out the the... latest products Pitboss Premium Charcoal. Today I fired up the new premium lump charcoal in the @hotchillismokers drum. So this is the 4kg bag, handy size for home but 12kg bags will be available. Wicked awesome packaging (check out the packaging for the Bintochan Charcaol on thier facebook page, makes me want to buy that and cook whatever it is you cook with it!!!) This coffee tree lump is large and dense! Which is what I want in a lump charcoal. I don't like the brittle stuff, it just burns away too quick. Lighting the lump was a breeze and it didnt spark like crazy unlike that other unclean brand of charcoal floating about. I only used a small amount to cook some lamb Ribs and chicken and she went along nicely. I even fished my ribs direct on the charcoal to crisp up the skin which worked a treat. Can't wait to try the pillows next. They look a million bucks!!! Special mentions to Sticky Pits BBQ for keeping my Grilla Pale Ale cold...only available at Brew U: Brew University of course.

05.01.2022 When you do some practice ribs and they all taste fricken awesome! Hookup from Warnbro quality meats cooked in the Hot Chilli Smokers drum over Honeybrix BBQ Charcoal. Sampled Barbecue Mafia Low N Slow la-fam and enforcer with a little Kosmo's Q Competition BBQ Products sweet pecan really solid combo. Other rack was Myron Mixon rub which was killer in itself. Kids loved them. Barbecue Mafia rubs are now available in WA at Warnbro Quality Meats. Get on it!

04.01.2022 Trialled the new Premium Lump and pillows from @pitbossbbqcharcoal recently..... Absolutely stoked with the cook. All done in @hotchillismokers drum. Last weekend was the lump and this weekend was the pillows. I did lamb ribs I got dirt cheap because I wanted to see what heat I could get out of these fuels. Both performed solidly and didn't disappoint.... I especially like the pillows! Facemelting hot in the HCS vortex. No taint to speak of. Looking forward to doing a bigger cook now to see how much burn time I can get.
