24.01.2022 New artwork for the debut album ‘UNDERTOW’ by Australian electronic composer and cellist Bridget Chappell. The work deals with the colonisation of the natural waterways running through Melbourne, using sonified water management data, cello, electronics and the Federation Bells. Taking a complimentary tact for the art, we took the famous image of a flooded Elizabeth street, taken in 1971 by Neil Bowler, then manipulated to reflect the warping of information.

18.01.2022 Today at Grin it is all about this man! 20 Years ago, almost straight out of University, sporting a flat top hair style (he destroyed all evidence) and a patchy beard, he joined the Grin team. He was our 3rd employee and has been a mainstay of creative ever since. Those that know Luke know his passion for design, his "taste" in music (yes, I'm talking about the whales and Arab chants) and his unwavering dedication to ensuring Grin maintains its design standards. On top of that he is an all round terrific guy. Congratulations Luke Fraser and thank you for all you have done. Looking forward to a few drinks at Rochester Hotel this afternoon.

18.01.2022 Golden Rise Bendigo is Mercy Health’s newest retirement community in regional Victoria. Grin devised the brand identity and bespoke illustrations, by Grin designer Beck Haskins, to complement the surrounding natural environment and the units’ botanically themed names. The resulting campaign included a photo shoot, custom copywriting by the Grin editorial team and design and production of the marketing sales collateral. 16.01.2022 We've been toying with a domestic focussed edition of Get Lost for a couple of years now; throwing the 'get lost' lens over Australia/New Zealand to feature the more unique and exciting travel experiences available. The current climate has certainly played a part in expediting those plans. Keep an eye out for our July edition! *cover is not confirmed.

15.01.2022 Back in the heady days of 2003, when CD design was still a thing, we worked on this heart-starter of a compilation album for our good friends (and client to this day!) Mushroom Music they were called Festival Mushroom back then. Finding the middle zone between Jim Beams’ style guide and some rock’n’roll grit was our challenge; distressed type and a #pantone gold starburst was our response, ensuring the cover art leapt off the service station counter and into your hands. 50,...000 units sold can’t be wrong, and this extraordinary commemorative presentation proves it beyond a doubt. It was so successful it spawned two more volumes A Second Shout and The Final Round then a Best Of and a DVD edition. Endlessly inventive in coming up with solutions for our clients, tireless in getting the best work out of the studio, and gifted in the art of pairing wine with just the right cheese.
